Zippered Thighs? I think not!

My long-overdue review of the Cotton Stockings with Zippered Backs is here!

While I was initially very excited about the prospect of these, I was warned of their negative side and not to get my hopes up. Not to be daunted, I pulled these on with glee. While I still like them, I found that they are barely an OTK on my long legs, and will settle in the middle of or below my knee if I don’t tug on them often.

I thought the zippers were pretty comfy, but then, I’m used to lots of metal on my clothing. Those of you looking for soft and sensual may want to steer away from these. On the up side, they looked neat and I loved the thickness and the elasticity, as well as the elastic cuffs at the tops. I definitely agree with our Sock Goddess’ decision not to bring in any more, but would look forward to some were the manufacturer to make much longer ones which have zippers that begin a bit higher (for those of us who wear boots).

More space madness!!!

space dyed falling stars
Two new space dyed tights and four new socklings.
The color above is called falling stars and the one below is peacock…
pretty
Peacock is also one of the new socklings and you can see in the image above that they are different peacocks between the tights and the socklings.
And the confetti socklings look little like the confetti otk’s.
But that is all part of the fun of space dyed, they are always a bit different…
for three of the socklings I just layed out variations and took pictures…
(if you really want one of a certain look we can always try to pick that pair for you)
The sandstorm is browns with a bit of golden to it, there is also a purple passion that is purples and nothing but purples, very passionate indeed!
Right now, I’m in love with the peacock, purples, greens & blues, sooo dreamy!!!

Vernal Equinox & Toe Socks

bright stripes and more!!!
For those of us in the northern hemisphere today was the start of spring…
for those of us in the Northwest spring has been here nearly a month, but today, it’s official and to celebrate we have another fresh batch of toe socks ready to go home and warm your toes and balance your feet.
These are from the TOETOE label, previously AllThere toesocks, my personal favorite toesocks EVER! Not that there is anything wrong with the other 20 or so choices we offer, in fact, you might like some of them better, but for me these are perfect! The toes fit each and every one of my toes to a T, no slippage on my baby toes, even after many hours of activity or sleep. One reason they may not be ideal for some of you is that, unlike the Feelmax versions, these have formed heels, not good if you happen to be out of their size range, but it is a generous size range so chances are these will fit (we’ll get some smaller & larger opinions in soon too).
Not only did we get these in 4 fun stripy choices that are nearly knee high (on shorter legs like mine), we got their anklets in black, white & rainbows and a half dozen solid midcalf choices too. If you remember my longtime fav elephant toes, we have those back, now they call them smoke.

Three pairs of fuzzy wildcat toesocks
…and three pairs of feet, purrrfect!

Group shot
I washed each pair last night to fluff them up because they arrive looking pretty flat.
Then I put on each pair to take pictures. The last pair were the leopards and since I liked them the best I kept them on for the rest of the evening, even slept in them. After wearing them for my morning work I tossed all three pairs back in the wash for a little extra fluffing before having my helpers put them on…
So here’s what we each thought:
The kitty shoes are the stars of this shot!
Small feet owned & run by Xilia, women’s size 6:
Tiger toe socks are very cute, but if you have little kitten toes like mine they are not worth it! It took forever to scrunch the sock over each toe and then kept poofing back out over the tops of my teeny weeny toes. Not only did this look kinda funky, but in a shoe the material was in the way and was getting wedged this way and that so was also not very comfortable.. they ARE really cute though, and I am keeping my pair from the shoot. They are cosy and comfortable enough to wear around the house where it wont bother me that my toes wont stay in place.
Leopard toes posing as paws
Medium feet owned & operated by Niqkita, women’s size 8.5:
They slipped onto my feet nicely. Due to the looser toes I find it easy to get my toes in place, but my pinky toes are small and curl under so they tend to slip out, especially while I’m sleeping. The rest of my toes stay in fine and they stay up just under my knees unless I scrunch them down, which I also think looks cute.
Manly!
Larger (male) feet managed by Bsti, men’s size 9:
A little tight going onto the toes, but that’s expected with toesocks.
Once in, they snuggled the digits.
They stay up mid-calf just fine, except in long pants which pushed them down. Really warm, soft, and comfortable, moreso I’d say than other toesocks I’ve worn.

Proudly wearing my green

Red Cross, because it feels good to donate!
I bought this t-shirt from the Red Cross last week and it arrived super fast…
Now it is my favorite shirt, so comfy, and special.
I think we should sell t-shirts, Sock Dreams & Fetishize Me logos with Xilia & my images blazen across them, Yet another project I’ll put on the back burner for now, but I think they’d be hot, or cool, or whatever…
Also so hot they’re cool are the new slouch socks in army green!
and if that isn’t green enough for you…
we’ve got new Green knees with lemony yellow stripes
Tomorrow, more new stuff!!!

Can someone please hold my modesty for me while I do this?

Another flimsy frilly garter belt or a practical inexpensive accessory?
perhaps a little of each?
These are from Leg Avenue and come with a little lace thong.
Just in black for now, we can also get them in white & red if you think we should.
My favorite thing about these is that the clasps are metal so they won’t break the first time you attempt to attach them to something thick, unfortunately the clasps are small and are difficult to attach to anything thick.
Right now (in the shot above) I’m wearing them with the purple pluto EG Smith cotton otk’s. Tricky, but not impossible to clip onto, I think it should be about the same for the M Stripes.
In the image below I’m wearing the E.G. Smith no foot boots in black:

This required fitting the rubber grip (the nipple-like bit) through the knit of the sock before attaching the clasps, this would not work with all socks and would surely do some damage if you wore them like this alot. This would also work with the Pippy Longstockings and the M40s. Size wise, they will slip down the hips of really skinny people but had good stretch up and over 40 inches, not too much over or they will dig in. My opinion is that these will work best with styles that stay up reasonably well on their own on people who are medium to large…

By reputation alone

warm comfy new tights
Until recently I’d never heard of MP tights.
Then, a couple of months ago, I got a rash of requests for these mysterious Danish tights and the timing could not have been better because I happened upon a rep in Seattle who handled them. The first thing that struck me when I saw them was their colors. I wanted so badly to get everything they had but a few things prevented me from doing it in good conscience: they are high end, a big investment at a time of year when I really have to watch the budget, heading into spring is not the best time to invest in warm, the rep, helpful as he was, was not terribly knowledgeable, and finally, size options, three of them, with little to no clue how they fit within each range. So I narrowed it down to these three options above:
cotton stripes in antique rose
a pretty red & pink in small, medium & large.
& superwash wool tights with cotton on the inside
off white or black in small, medium & large.
Because there are so few and they are so high end I’m going to pass on trying them this time around and am hoping that without the help of personal reviews we can sell these on their reputation alone (and so far it seems to be working).
Don’t worry, I also placed a much larger order from their new fall line and am looking forward to learning more about them, ordering even more of their great styles, and of course, testing some this coming fall!

I WANT THEM ALL!!

The new Super Stripes are incredible… as a matter of fact I cannot really think of anything about them to pick on.

They fit my size 11’s with lots of luxurious toe wiggling room. (YES.. FINALLY!! A heel that actually is on my heel!!!)

The length comes up comfortably to my mid-thigh. The width is nice for non-petite sock lovers (I found a max width of 26″ at the top portion). They gave me warmth when I was outside in the snowy wind, yet didn’t make me too warm while I was in an over-heated room. I wore these out on Friday night to my favorite German bier pub, I got lots of compliments! Earlier that day I took Vel to the Vet (a few blocks away) wearing one leg with garter and one without. The gartered leg stayed just where I wanted it to, but unfortunately the ungartered leg slid down to ride on my knee as I walked. I don’t see this as a problem at all as I LOVE to wear cute garters and such.

I decided to do a side by side comparison of these new
Super Stripes VS the lovely MStripes.

They both look great, wear great and wash great!

The Super Stripes fit my larger feet, MStripes always come up too short. (I could hide that with shoes.) But I must say that before I knew about the arrival of the Super Stripes, I had been composing letters in my head to our sock Goddess to beg for MStripes with longer feet.

Although they both have really nice overall longer length for us longer legged sock lovers, the
Super Stripes do have more width. The MStripes only go to about a 21″ max top width. I usually do a fold-over on the tops of mine, turning them over onto themselves into a perfect little cuffed OTK sock with a garter.

The knits are very different too! The SuperStripes have a thicker looser knit that breathes more and slouches better, while the MStripes have a thinner tighter flat knit that is less bulky and doesn’t end up bagging as much.

My conclusion? Depending on who is wearing which sock.. They are both wonderful!!! Personally I use each of them for different looks, shoes, and occasions. I wish that the
MStripes came with bigger feet, but I adore them so very much even as they are. I love my new Super Stripes… And even though they are nearly perfect in every way, I find myself liking the look of my MStripes better when I am wearing them. But now that I see the pics of these side by side, perhaps the Super Stripes do look better, oh I just don’t know… ugggh.

But that’s just me :O) And I just want them ALL!!!

Vel couldn’t’ make up his mind either!

Easter-y!
with one of our lovely new mid length petticoats.
I’ve added alot of new items this weekend and restocked several things too.
And, as always, there are lots more new items coming including a couple of new space dyed tights and socklings and oh-sooo-much more!!!
more dreams ahead of us...

Orange you Glad…….

……that these new checkered socks have arrived!:)

They don’t only come in orange so check out the color options and see which would suit you best. These are very limited and I would grab a pair while you can….

I get soooooooo Many compliments on these every time I wear them out (of my growing pile of socks I take the time to wash these so I can wear em more than once a week)

They are cozy but a bit snug around the lower leg… so I would not recommend these to anyone with calves over 19 inches.

I love these more than any other sock I have in my collection and know you will love them just as much!
