Thick & bulky bootsocks in soft pretty colors…
I have the labels all ready to go, still need a few more pictures of them and Xilia has been sick all week so she hasn’t been here to prep them or help me with pictures…
but they are the thickest softest socks we have!
I myself have already claimed 3 pairs because I love them sooo much
and that is not counting the pair I assigned my beloved Bsti to wear and report on…
so check back later because, assuming this day goes well, I should have em up and ready before too long…

So what do you do when you want to mix the lace
and sweetness of the lolita style with a bit of modern pizazz?
We run here and ask for a set of these adorable heart thigh highs o_o.
With its thick white lace tops, smooth (*melt* so smooth)
Fabric and stretchiness, these really should be something every girl
(or fashionable boy!), have in their closet.
Another nifty thing about these lovely babes, is the small red hearts are rather soft to the touch – almost velvety!
-___- If you’re anything like me you’ll be petting your leg nonchalantly during the course of your day lol. However, while you’re making it a habit to touch the silky n velvety textures of these thigh highs, you might have to be pulling them upward a lot , too. The only possible downfall to this great find is that because they are so soft, and stretchy (making these versatile to fit anyone from a petite to large frame) they tend to slide down non-stop. Tehe, gives us all a reason to go invest in a nice garterbelt, or even better…sock garters!

Even with the ruins of Angkor Wat as the background, my sock pictures don�t come anywhere close to yours�you and the Sock Goddess always look amazing, and I just look sort of wilted. Still, Green Knees kept me warm during 35 hours in four planes and five airports, and whenever I felt overwhelmed, it warmed my toes to visit Sock Dreams from Internet cafes in villages across Cambodia.

Wow, I’m in such a state of awe over seeing these great pictures and finding out that our socks have made such an amazing journey! I didn’t even know how to cover the seperation of Niqkita & the Sock Goddess, we are one in the same and I am so honored to be called that and to warm toes around the world!

These are one of two sweet new booties from Hot Sox that arrived last week. The others have three bands on top and rubber nubbies on their bottoms. These do not have the rubber nubbies but do have a stretchy ribbon laced around their tops that you can actually tighten if you like. I found that they stayed on my feet without tightening them, except to sleep in, they needed a little tightening to stay on in bed, but not with my slippers around the house. They are made from a nice soft cotton with enough nylon & spandex to keep their shape in three colors including black with white like I have on, white with lavender and pesto green with pink.
They fit my size 8.5s perfectly, the label says they should fit sizes 4-10.5, as usual with Hot Sox items I think size 4 is pushing it, maybe a men’s size 4 is what they mean because I think size 6 is more realistic though I’m not sure they’d fit up to 12 either, but with nylon/spandex & laces it just may be possible…

Yes, we accidentally took Easter off…
what happened was that we joined My Space earlier this month and Xilia had made a nice little thank you for adding us image to light up the lives of our new friends and it was so popular that it sucked the bandwidth right out of our allotment.
As soon as I realized this we got it resized & heavily compressed but it was too late so I added a GB of bandwidth and crossed my toes after being told my lovely hosts would be there all weekend in case I needed them, but I think she forgot they were taking Sunday off so when we exceeded our limit yesterday afternoon there was no one there to take my call and no one to call me back. This morning I got up just as early as I could (within 30 mins of their office opening) and got back on the phone.
…and here we are!
I was in the middle of adding new stuff yesterday (including the new otk’s with bows that turned out to be thigh high afterall) so I’m going to finish that up and add a review for one of the new footies.

The smaller footed versions of the Super stripes may only have one stripe on the foot part of the sock but my little size sixes and my lovely lush larger 25 inch thighs are both rejoicing at these new socky additions. On me these guys actually went almost ALL the way up… and here I had resigned myself to having stripes only stretch as far as above my knee. Well I am resigned no more! The new Super Stripes are comfortable and very wearable. On my 3 mile trek to work they did slip down but never fell below the knee. Once they did slip though the material bunched up into the shoe and became pretty uncomfortable…Around the house or with normal wear this did not occur- so unless you wear some garters with these I would not recommend them for hikes or really long walks. They are WONDERFUL for lounging around the house in on lazy sunday mornings! :)

We are getting in a slew of new colors and I can’t wait to try them all! :)

^_^ I was so excited when I received my order. My poor mail man was hugged by a scantily clad girl dressed in black who was squealing like an animal lol.
And my excitement was justified…
I’m in absolute love with the Super Ms.
I was shocked to see how lovely the color was. The dark red is such a beautifull, luscious burgundy – a shade lighter then a dead rose.
Another delightful shock was how unbelievably softtt they were! The Super Ms fitted my legs (im 5′2″) to the upper thigh perfectly – the elastic tops holding to my thighs well enough that they didn’t budge and yet didn’t strangle my legs either. Another thing I enjoyed about these lovely lil sockies – is the fact it wasn’t too warm,nor was it
extraordinarily light either.
So, the bright side of it – comfy to wear in both spring and winter*GLEE*. The *only* downside I found with these socks was that they are rather difficult to fit into my shoes. The portion around my foot was loose just like the rest of the sock( im a size 9) so they can be a bit floppy in that sense. Though, that’s great for sleeping in them . I can’t wait to go camping (in style!)with them!

Not only that, but we have BIG boxes to the left with stuff to go up and more stuff and some other stuff. We were going to introduce at least one new item today (because I’m behind for adding new socks this week) but Xilia’s keyboard crashed and she couldn’t send me the images she took or post her review. Tomorrow we’re going to get some new stuff up no matter what (I know, I should know better than to say that anymore, but I really can’t see why I won’t get at least some of it added, most of it is all ready to go, we just need the pix). So what’s on that table? oh, just some super cute cotton otk’s and some real chenille socks and some ruffley things and things with bows and new socklings and no foot boots in a peachier pink and pink cammie knee highs and in the box to the left? super comfy thick pastel-y bootsocks. But you’re just going to have to wait to find out more…

My first ever Post… March 23 2004

I took pictures in my bathtub, in my dirty mirror, and all around my apt. I shared my opinions, my washing techniques, and (*blush*) my measurements. I had so much fun!

Since then my sock drawer has grown into several more drawers, I have bought myself way too many pairs of shoes (to go with all the sockies of course), and have upgraded my camera and lighting. (The gorgeous pics that show up in this journal are great inspiration to me, and drive me to learn more and try to take better pictures).

I am thrilled to be a “sock girl” here at Sock Dreams! I adore having the opportunity to share my thoughts on these great sockies so that others in my size range might be able to find the perfect fit.

That all being said, I would like to wish myself a Happy Anniversary!! Weeeeeeeeee!! And say a great big thanks to the Sock Goddess herself, The Sock Girls, and all the sock lovers out there! I am having a blast here!
