New lace ups

comfy & sexy!
The lace up velvet otk’s have been so popular I decided to give these a try…
I’m so glad I did, I like them even better than the velvets, these are mostly cotton with a good dose of spandex (lycra spandex) for stretch. That combined with lace ups makes for a really great fit and super stay up powers, not to mention how sexy they are, I was really impressed and again will not be able to part with my sample pair ~:) They also come in black (sorry, I cheated and used another image of the black velvets for now, they look pretty much the same except for the extra sheen and these area bit longer). Another fabulous addition to our collection!!!

So many new things I barely know where to start…

pretty little black bows all the way up the back seams
This is the first of many shots Xilia took (and will take) of me wearing the new stuff that arrived this week…
The little bows start just above the heels and go all the way up to about midthigh. They are glued on, so you might want to snip the extra bits of glue off when you take them out of the package, I pulled at it and rolled it off, but I think using scissors might be safer (as long as you don’t cut into the stockings of course;) The fishnet is fine enough around the toes that my toes didn’t slip out and the tops stayed up without any assistance. These are sooo cute that I don’t think I can part with my pair.
I don’t know why I waited so long to get these, we had a couple of requests for knee highs with bows down the backs (which I still have not found) so I decided I better try these. My only real complaint is that this is the only color we can get…

Something New…

teeny tiny polka dots
Polka dots!!!
I’ve been resistant to the polka dot craze
…but I’ve been hearing from people who think they are pretty hot so I thought we’d try these cute tights. Opaque black (and only black) with itty bitty white polka dots (that aren’t quite round up close, but sure look to be from a few feet away). The size range on these says 4′10″~5′9″ 90~160 lbs. I’m right in the middle of the height and near the bottom of the weight range and I don’t think these will accommodate anyone outside the range. I found them to be quite comfortable & opaque, thick enough that they are not going to run easily, thin enough that they should not overheat your legs and may snag on rough bits of boots or shoes (they are nylon afterall). Supplied by Music Legs under their Queentex label “The Art of Stockings”. If your in search for more polka dots (we only have a few), be sure to use our quick search feature on the lower right side of all the pages (except this one).
We have a ton more new items to show off…
so many that Xilia & I are teaming up this afternoon to do a huge shoot in my studio and around the neighborhood, it should be alot of fun!

Its over!!!!!!

In celebration of the ending of the day of love ( and oddly what feels like the ending of my week long super sniffles) I am wearing hearts today! :)-

I paired the Woven Hearts Stockings with Lace Tops under the Fencenet Thigh Hi with this lovely effect… All topped off with Shellys fabulous Spiked Garters

I actually opted for the large size in the hearts thigh his, but would have been just fine opting for the regular size… The large was a little baggy around the tops on me and did not stay up without the aid of the sock garters. I really loved the smooth finish the material of these gave my legs… So silky looking and the little woven heart adornments really were eyecatching. The fencenets added wonderful little frames to the hearts and really accentuated the lady-like curves and shape of ones leg… Very pretty for a night out or perhaps for enticing one to spend the night in! ;)-

okay, so I should’ve posted this yesterday, but…

I was busy……So we’ll just have two posts today instead! :)

My Valentine’s Day combo was the red and black Opaque Vertical Stripes under a pair of red Fishnet Thigh Highs with Backseams, topped off with my very own black Snappy Heart Garters:

The effect was fabulous, as was the fit! The Vertical Stripes are perfect thigh-highs and the fishnets ended just below. I added the Snappy Heart Garters, creating a nice banded look at the tops and avoiding having too much red over the black.

The backseams looked great over the vertical stripes!

I love the sleek and sexy effect of the long lines under the fishnet, and the fact that this set was fast and easy to put together!

Puppy Love…

Puppy love
Lookie who else can wear our Snappy heart Garters!

After being banned from my studio since she was a baby I’ve been taking her in for short shoots to get used to it.
She looks so mature in this one!
She’s still a bit uneasy on the big backgrounds under the bright lights which is good because she takes everything we do in there very seriousely…
test versions of our own warmers
Happy Sunday!

Assimilation…

Apparently, my resistance was futile.

Although I started off not a HUGE fan of the M stockings (due to the fact that the first pair I got stopped at OTK on me and I was hoping for thigh-highs), their range of colors and low prices have brought me onto the bandwagon, so to speak.

I tried out a pair of M stripes with striped feet in lavender and black, and the colors were as stunning in person as they were in the product pics! The fit was lovely and they went up to a high OTK length without pinching my legs. As usual, there was a bit of bagginess around the ankles,

but that doesn’t really bother me since I wear mostly boots.

Knowing that they were made by the same manufacturer and so the colors should match up, I checked out the Cotton Slouch Socks, too.

I’ve already chastised Niqkita for not making a bigger deal about these. ;) No, but really, these are so great!!!! They come all the way up to my knee with no problem, have LOTS of room for stretch and slouchiness, and the feet fit, too! Plus, they look excellent over the stripeys:

Byebye! I’m off to work!

atten-TION!

The Authentic Military Boot Socks are splendid!

I got a pair in Army Green, size Medium, and they fit me perfectly and stayed up all through the day. The foot is cushier than the ankle/calf part, so they really are perfect for wearing with combat boots. These have serious stay-up power and a little price, so check ‘em out for yourself or buy some for your sweetie for V-Day! :)

All mixed up & ready to go…

how many styles can you count? you can't even see them all in this shot
After I took the pictures I had to take I decided to take a few shots just for fun…
I’d suddenly gotten curious about what it would look like to layer contrasting stripes so I pulled on of my sheer horizontal pink stripes over my black & light pink vertical stripes, then I spied a pair of the sheer black vertical stripes and put one on the other leg and topped it with the other sheer pink, I couldn’t stop there, I put on two different mary janes, then I topped the stocking collage with four different sock garters, two on each leg, oh, and don’t forget those cute little warmers I’ve been making this week, they’re reversible! (now I just need a serger so I can make enough to share)
50 or so shots later I knew I had my new Bust ad, I just had to figure out which one…
For Bust Magazine's April/May issue
I had a much simpler version all ready to go, but this one image says so much with so few words that I decided to go with it, even though a part of me feels like it is too busy. It was really fun to put all these different bits together and no, we don’t actually sell a few of those, but we will…

E.G. Smith Pippi Longstocking

PERFECT

Yes… you heard me right. I said Perfect.

You may have noticed by now that I tend to be a bit picky when reviewing socks. I have this bothersome quirk of noticing little details that the average person really isn’t bothered by. At the risk of sometimes sounding tedious I always include exactly what I think (even the little things)… I hope it will perhaps help someone find their pairs of ultimate socks. But with the E.G. Smith Pippi Longstockings I am speechless.

They cradle my size 11’s perfectly. They pull up my large calves and fit like a dream up and just over my knee. (I would not recommend them for wider legs than mine though). They are the cushiest, snugglyest, dreamiest socks ever. Multifunctional too! So easy to go from the perfect slouch sock (and I do mean the PERFECT slouch sock… lots of folds… lots of cush) to an adorable over the knee. I love having that cute suprise… like an afternoon of hiking around in your shorts and workboots (with your socks slouched), ending up that evening in a cute little bar with margaritas flowing and you in your now pulled up to sexy over the knee socks… weeeeeeeee. Transformers … yes, that is what they are!!

We have petitioned for a very long time to get these (thanks Niq!!!). Now that we have got them in white I want colors too (maybe I will write a hundred letters to E.G. smith and beg)!!! Then maybe once we get them in colors we can get them in thigh high, then once we get them in thigh high maybe we can get them striped.. then… okay, okay… I know, getting carried away. But you do see where I am going. If I were on a deserted Island with just one pair of socks… these are what I think I would want. When you buy your first pair of these E.G. Smith Pippi Longstockings you will see what I mean. These are absolutely a necessary staple in my sock wardrobe.

A definate ten toes up!!
