Ohhhh! Ohhhh! Ohhh! OPastels!

When I first saw our Niqkita wearing the OPastels I thought they would be something I couldn’t possibly fit in. They looked small and seemed to just perfectly reach over her knee (which meant they would probably not even be knee high on me). Then I saw the post where Niq said there had been a slight mistake in the last batch … they were accidentally made about six inches longer. I thought OH TOO BAD!!! (read the last statement with extreme sarcasm) tee hee!!! I ordered some right away!!!

It is no secret that I love my pinks and that I think most every sock should be at least over MY knees… These are both a lovely shade of the softest sweetest pink AND easily, yes I said EASILY go over my knees. These extra long OPastels (OPP??? (OPastels Plus?) wasn’t that a bad eighties song?) fit me perfectly in every way. My size 11’s snuggle right in with comfort… They stretch luxuriously over my large calves, easily go over the knees… and pull right up with no problem or tightness right to the ideal over the knee spot for me. These beautiful babies have comfy stretchy tops that can accommodate a thigh width of 24″ and will surely make it to at least an over the knee area on even the tallest of sock lovers, and a lovely mid thigh on the more petite.

The knit is slightly looser and more ’sheer’ than the say the M40’s… But they are still a thick and somewhat heavier sock when compared to the nylon striped I have paired them with here (I think it is so cute the way the stripes show through the OPastels when layered like this). I adore the simple yet wide top area of the OPastels though they do have a tendency to roll down ever so slightly on me (all socks do on me), however they have stayed up remarkably well on my legs (never falling down below my knees).

I highly recommend these for the larger legged sock lovers, and yet I can still recommend them to the more petite too because the stretch and memory of these is pretty darn nice. There is no bagging or loose pockets in these after wear… The go on nice fitting and stay that way. I have a sock inspector too (meet Vel! he just may have a foot fetish, as he adores licking toes, and the only “toy” he will play with is my socks) he and I both TOTALLY approve of these in EVERY way! These have become my favorite ’round the house’ sockies… Especially cute when paired with big baggy plaid boxer shorts and a pair of EG smith boot socks scrunched down over the ankles on top of them (sorry those pics aren’t here).. :O)

Oh.. And… I think.. Just maybe… Don’t know yet for sure… But maybe… These accidentally long ones will get ordered again on purpose! Yay and thanks Niq!!!
