Do I file it under stupid people?

I just got this from someone who either didn’t care to leave an email address or couldn’t figure that out either:

Name: blue

you’re web page is detaild , but couldn’t figure how to put into my cart. not very user friendly. because of this i’m unable to buy. therefore i’m not. i’m sure others have had this problem and it costs you buyers. hope this helps your web page.

First of all, it’s a web site, not just a page, but a whole bunch of them joined together by links. I just had another look at it to be sure and it’s pretty straight forward, first we see a selection of socks, upon clicking images or text links we get more info and if we click the color we like, then click add to basket, voila, in the cart, unless we’ve got a wonkey old browser (and if you have a wonkey old browser update it for godsake!). On top of all that we’re having a smashing good holiday season in addition to our strong daily sock sales from overwhelmingly happy sock buyers.
Ohwell, what’s that old saying? oh yeah, ya can’t please em all!

On a nicer note, I have some uber comfy socks on and am adding them to the site right now, shortly their review will be posted…

Angora Butterfly Tights

so soft, warm and pretty!
For those who waited til the last minute to find an especially warm gift, or are ready to treat themselves to some warm luxurious tights, we have a small batch of these wonderfully soft & comfy angora blend tights. Made in France for Ozone Designs these are the nicest tights we’ve had yet. They come in small, medium & large with a very complicated sizing chart that I did my best to type out on their page . I wish I’d looked at it more carefully before selecting my pair because I went with small and it is TOO small, I can wear them comfortably, but the more I move around the more they move down so every so often I have to do a major hike up to get them back in place. Other than that they are totally comfy. The first night I wore them they itched after a few hours. I hand washed them and left them hanging over a towel over night. I’ve been wearing them since right after my shower this morning and haven’t had a single itch. I like the way the toes and heels are made of more durable reinforced fibers…
Butterfly heels
and notice that neat back seam. On the grey ones it’s white, these are the chocolates, they have brown seams. Both are greyish and the shade can vary a bit depending on the lighting, which you can see in the images on their page. Because of their cost and the way they are packaged we only have 2 of each size/color to start out. If they sell well I’ll bring in more, but if you want a pair you might not want to wait too long or they may be gone forever like a butterfly in a breeze…

Holiday notes

holiday stripes
Above are just one of our holiday striped color choices. We even did blue & white, but got them just a wee late for their related holiday.
I hear that today is the last day you can expect first class shipments to go out and arrive within the US in time for that one BIG gift giving day. Of course, if you celebrate one of the other holidays this month you either still have time or it is already too late. I’d strongly suggest priority shipping if you are ordering this week and 2 Day Express if you order next week.
We’ve run out of quite a few things since we are currently doing about 5-6 times our usual sales, but we have sooo many items that if we don’t have what you are looking for you’re sure to find something else you want.
Right now I’m wearing some tights that I REALLY need to add to the site and give a report on, I’ve got several orders to place and several to fill and errands to run, then, maybe, just maybe, I’ll tell you about the angora tights…

holiday cheer!

First, forgive me, as these were very difficult to successfully photograph (not to mention that I’m not showing the tops of them because I, too, need to shave).
Now, on to the review! Don’t be fooled by the rubber content of the new Fuzzy Sparkles! Yes, you can tell that they have rubber in them. They feel a little…tacky…to the hands. But on the feet, heavenly! I was so surprised by these because I *was* a little put off at first. But the bright red color, cushiony thickness and sparkliness won me over.
I wanted to show you *just* how sparkly these are, so I took a shot in darkness to get the full effect (which is also how I got that long-ago shot of the sparkly fishnets over black and burgundy stripes).

These are excellent for around-the house pseudo slippers, and the red is a bright, true, gorgeous red! I think I’m gonna snag some more colors of these for myself and as gifts! Happy Shopping!

From another perspective…

Cute kitties!
Today was spent in a flurry of folding socks and getting to test out the new Vertical Stripes for my first review! They are officially dubbed thigh highs, but on my longer lusher leg they stayed at around 2 inches over the knee…which I really like as this way I can wear a cute little skirt and have the tops of my thigh still peek out. I could have pulled them up higher, but they always settled back down above the knee. Even at around 3-4 inches above my knee there was no ” bulge” or digging in look which I absolutely adore. The stripes being vertical also helped make my legs look longer and leaner which I adored even more!

Most longer style socks/hosery tend to slide southward on my legs as my limbs are long (35 ish almost 36 inches) and taper from a wider thigh down to the tips of my teeny tiny size sixes, but I was pleasantly surprised by these. While at work they stayed pretty much in place- only needing occasional readjustment. While walking around and snapping some pics of these lovlies- they did do the slow gentle slide down. This factor also appeals to me, as the art of pulling up the tights is a great way to sequester some attention when out and about.( I must remember to shave the legs before trying that one again!!!! ) For those who like their socks and/or thigh highs to stay put, I am sure that a little Liquid Latex or- even better- some of the many sexy sock garters Niqkita hand makes with lots of love will do the trick. Most of the pics I took are from unadjusted post walking moments- and they still managed to look fabulous!!!

The tights are opaque, which to me usually translates as “will I make it through the night with out snagging these” ( I am an ueber klutz and will find SOMETHING to snag my hosiery on), but the quality of these is fantastic- very sturdy and well put together. The different colored material is stitched and gives a perfect smooth line, unlike stripes that are simply woven together. The stitching also adds a unique ribbed feeling when on which I am loving. I loved these so much I am putting the pink and black version on my ever expanding list of socky “must haves”.
till we next

arm warmers too!

Now available!!!

We LUV em ~ WE LUV EM!!!
First the facts:
Opaque Vertical Stripes
(actually the label says “Stripes thigh hi” vague and slightly inaccurate)
Music Legs label
100% nylon
sizing: 5″-5′10″ 100-175 lbs
comes in black & white and black & pink: $9
I’m wearing the pink & black now and am on the low end of that sizing scale.
I can pull them up to my thighs, but they crept down and stayed about 4 inches above my knees from moderate activity like climbing the stairs and squatting to get socks from bottom drawers for orders.
I flipped the top of one over for the picture so you can see the detail inside, the stripes are sewn together rather than printed on so they are perfectly spaced all the way down to the toes. I cannot feel the seams at all and they appear to hold perfectly. The opacity hides my ankle tattoos, the tops don’t dig into my thighs and these are soft besides. I better order more because I just know you guys are going to love these!
This afternoon Xilia is downstairs in the sock room folding and labeling the latest batch of M40s & M Stripes, she is wearing a black & white pair and will give us her views on them from a larger/longer legged perspective later tonight…

Something new, something old

new plain garters
I took our plain simple sock garters and gave them a little something special…
pearlie buttons!
They are plastic, not shell (of course), and you can still get them with the really plain buttons too. I also added another really pretty sock garter today, I have other colors of those I want to add, but the gold are what I found the most of so that’s it for now.
With all the great new socks we are always getting I sometimes overlook old favorites like these sweater socks.
sooo comfy!!!
This is the “natural” version, unbleached and undyed and as comfy as any of the sweater socks. The feet are nice and roomy and with a little extra stretching these will fit larger legs quite nicely too! If you’ve been following my journal for a long time you might remember when we first got these and how I hoped to get them longer but the supplier wanted me to get 200 dozen of them which was (an still is) way out of our range, I’m hoping to talk our fav supplier into making them since that original company is no more.
That’s all from Sockland for tonight…
I have some really nice stuff to show off in coming days…

Something old, something new

Red garters with shiney spikes
You might remember this picture or some very much like it from this past February. The Woven Hearts stockings have been selling really well lately after many months of barely being noticed, I think they’re soo pretty! and I think the red spiked garters add a nice touch to them. We now have these in red and pink in addition to the black ones we’ve carried all year. The ones in this picture are actually on slightly wider elastic than the ones we are selling, just a 1/4 difference, I figured it was okay to go ahead and make use of these shots I took last february so you don’t have to wait to see how they look and Shelleopard was nice enough to send me a picture of the pink ones to use on their page. Now I just need to get pictures of the sequined garters she made us and we’ll be all set. I know they look all pointy but the way she sets the spikes leaves you free to move and sit in total comfort, I can even cross my legs in them!

…all the while we continue to help lots and lots of sock buyers get what they want as quickly as possible. I’m even caught up with my email for a change so if you’re waiting to hear back about a question or comment it’s possible the email never got to us or got lost. There are still two full weeks before that big gift giving holiday (and I know there are several other gift giving occasions & holidays this month too including our wedding anniversary!) so you still have plenty of time to order, most orders arrive within a few days, even during this busy period, but it couldn’t hurt to add priority. Remember that if you order from us and don’t get a confirmation you need to check with us to make sure the order actually went through and if your order seems late don’t hesitate to write so we can check tracking, in most cases the order has arrived and is being held at the post office for some odd reason or another, sometimes they were picked up by a room mate or parent and somebody forgot to tell the recipient, either way, the faster you check the faster we can find out.

What’s going in your holiday stocking?

the one, make that three, and only Throx!
some Throx would fit nicely!
it was brought to my attention that we should be featuring the peppermint striped Throx right now, they are perfectly festive and have the added advantage of coming three to a pack. The two best reasons to come this way are that if you lose one you have a spare, or if you buy two packs you get three pair!
Invented by that eccentric genius Edwin Heaven (who writes like hell I hear, no, really, it’s on his business card). They are well made and comfy. The label says One size FITS, they might be a little loose below a woman’s shoe size 6 but I do think these will fit feet up around size 12 (women’s size 12, that means about a size 10 mens, maybe 11, but you’ll be stretching them I think).
What will you do with your spare sock? the possibilites are endless!
my personal fav are the Yipes pinkos with crazy multi stripes.

16 days til the Winter Solstice…

Thanks to Emily for sending us these cozy pix!!!
wool socks over tights
If you are in the northern hemisphere the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting even colder. Layering your legs in warmth helps keep the chill out and allows you to enjoy skirts & shorts even as the wind blows and the temperatures drop. My favorite spot is by the heater, even then I like some nice warm socks on for venturing to the fridge or down to the basement.
Here is the first letter I got from her about these wool socks…
Hi Niqkita,
Wow, I love the new website, Very professional indeed. I just had to write and tell you what a great gift my boyfriend gave me the other day. Well it was supposed to be a christmas present but he gave them to me earlier because once he recieved them he thought I wouldn’t like them. He knew I wanted long wool socks and I told him about fetishize-me.com, I haven’t been by in a while. Anyways, he showed me 2 pair of super long off white wool socks and he was like these aren’t what I thought they would be. I have to admit they did look a little saggy, but I had pair of wool tights once that kind of looked the same way before I washed them. So I put them in the washer and dryer and presto I have two new pair of awsome above the knee thick wool socks, actually they almost come up to my hip. I slept in them last night and they were perfect although they were below my knees when I woke up but that was fine. Tomorrow I’ll try them under pants or a skirt and see how they do walking, I bet they’ll stay up better over tights, we’ll see. Speaking of which, if they are going to make them so long, why not just make them tights, I bet those would be super warm. Okay, I think I’ve said enough.
Thanks again,
Emily

wool socks over tights with mocha leg warmers
(((Those are the mocha cable leg warmers)))
Indeed they do stay up better over tights! and if you are at all prone to itching from wool it also alleviates that. I hope that everyone else who gets them remembers to wash them before deciding if you like them, I washed mine a few times first and even put in some fabric softener, also, I’ve said it before and their labels say it too, wash them inside out to keep them looking their best! Happy Monday!!!
