Thanks to the wonderful customer service Nancy at EG Smith provides
we got our order a couple of weeks before I expected to and we’re all restocked on their solid cotton tights and the space dyed, which now have their own page. It should make the EG Smith tights less confusing since there were sooo many options you couldn’t see them all without scrolling (we have some more styles like that that I’ll straighten out later). Most of the space dyed socklings are stocked up again, and the black cotton over the knees are back too, we sold an amazing amount (to me anyway) of those last month. When I put in the next order with them I’ll get even more of the tights and socklings colors, we already have all of their over the knee colors (hopefully they will add more choices to those next year!).
We were out of black & white stripes in the Music Legs wide stripes & plus sized tights, both are back in stock now. I think I’m forgetting something, but those were the main ones we’ve been missing the past week or so. Oh yes, M Stockings of all sorts have been restocked this week, we’re still out of some, and completely new ones are headed our way, constant, continuous change, that is the way of the world, even the sock world ~:)

These M booties are amazingly comfortable! They are perfect for putting on after I slather my feet with lotion. I love doing that cause it gives the lotion time to absorb into your feet (you know, like the ladies in the fifties used to do with their hands… lotions and little cotton gloves to sleep in to keep the hands soft. I remember my mom showing me that when I was little.) I just had to put on my vintage chiffon nightie for the occasion. The roominess of the booties is wonderful and it is lovely to have something on my feet that is not pulled tight over my toes (these toes like to wiggle… a lot). The little stripes of color are so cute! These booties are adorable and uber comfy… I love them!!! Sock lovers with larger feet are going to be thrilled with the length of the feet in these. I would also like to add another plus of these booties… They breathe really well. I am not truly a fan of sleeping in socks…. But, these feel so free on my feet… maybe it is the nice size and the fact that they do not pull or constrict my feet in anyway. Or, maybe it is the knit and the fact that it seems to allow the air to still circulate, who knows… They are just great!!!

After a nice lazy weekend I’m back at it with fuzzy toe socks on my toes…
if I had to pick a least favorite of our toesocks these might be it because my pinky toes tend to slip out, but other than that they are sooo comfy & cozy! I haven’t worn this pair in awhile so I was pleasantly surprised when I put them on before bed last night and found them to be quite soothing, my toes wiggled happily til I fell asleep.
I’ve had this pair since we first got these in March 2003, Bsti wears them alot more than I do as they are better suited for larger feet. In and out of the washer & dryer they’ve gone for nearly 2 years and as you can see they are still in great shape!
I thought I had some shots of him wearing them, but now I can’t find them…

Orders to pull, questions to answer, much to do, bye for now…

As usual, I procastinated about placing this order, they are costly and they have many choices, so narrowing it down to an affordable batch is not an easy task.
This week we got the first half of the batch, a bit late for the holidays but in plenty of time to warm chilly winter toes~
These are made by the fine folks in the Orkney Islands with the fur shorn from their happy fluffy bunnies, knitted on a Passap with no elastic or toe seams. They cost more but are totally worth it if you want to spoil your toes!
I slept in my pair last night, ivory over the knees that someone returned due to a loose link in the ribbing, I don’t even notice it and they are sooo comfy & (((warm)))
We’ll have even more colors next month, for now, we have this lovely pink in an anklet and a knee high, the OTK’s are back in blackberry (my personal fav Orkney Angora shade) & chocolate brown, the long leg warmers are also in chocolate & fawn.
And the best part is that I brought in two foot sizes this time! Their small 4-7 actually fots up to about a womans 9 and the medium 8-11 should fit sizes 9-12 ~:)

Okay, I have new pink Angora stuff up in my studio to shoot in the morning, I was going to do it tonight, but, blah, blah, blah, girlstuff, don’t feel like it tonight.
But since Jamie-Lynn read pink ARGYLE, well, I have to come clean, I really do have some pink argyles, so this shot above is my little staging table, these items are up to be shot after the angora and will be added to the site over the coming days/week.
I’m most excited about those diagonal stripes, they’re neato ~:) but the pink argyles are pretty cute too, the little argyles are anklets, the big ones are knee highs, those three stripeys are over the knees, the funky harlequin clown socks are knee highs, and of course, my beloved little booties with their pretty pink striped cuffs.

We get some pretty nice folks visiting and writing snd I have to say yet again that warming toes across the country and around the world must be one of the most gratifying jobs there is!
Now to go take pictures of those pink angora socks I was bragging about last night ~:)

Winter is officially upon us here in the northern hemisphere
and I’ve got no shortage of warmer socks planned for you and your toes!

Our first batch to sell is being made this week and will arrive late next week or early the week after. They come in four colors and are so thick and comfy, I just know you’re going to love them!
I sewed a button on the out side of each of mine, I like it, but it serves no purpose that I can think of and I don’t plan on doing it to more, not yet anyway.
I’ve also asked them to make me a test sample of these, more of an otk, sort of a reverse M40 with the loose part being on top and the ribbing going down the legs. If those work we’ll get them made for you too. We’re also getting a simple over the knee tube style made in the next round for those who’ve requested it. A couple of new colors are also going to be available, including a green I liked so much I’m starting the new otk stripes out all in variations of it. The O Pastels came back today, they are 6 inches longer this time around so if you wanted them longer now is your chance, when these are gone they’ll go back to being over the knees. Also in, wool M40s for smaller feet!!!
More warmth…
a new batch of the Orkney Angora styles is here, the leg warmers are now available in chocolate and fawn and we got some new ankle & knee highs, I just need to get their pictures taken, shouldn’t take me long now that we’re slowing down again. But we did have an unexpected rush the past two days so I’m not sure we’re out of the woods yet (not that I’m complaining mind you!~;)
What else? oh, I know…
we got the diamond knit otks back in black & ivory back
and the Pippy Longstockings really are due back anyday, so for those who I know won’t be reading this anyway, please stop writing and asking me! BTW, did you know you can find them on Ebay? yup, seomone’s been selling them there for a whole lot more than we charge, plus they are charging shipping on top of that! yes, good deals can be found on Ebay, but that surely isn’t one of them, buyer beware!

Under that pile is a box of Jambieres that have holes in them. More than a dozen need to be returned to Ozone because they arrived with little holes in their ribbing.
We sorted through them carefully and what is left is all good. In an opposite corner is a box full of little boxes of odds and ends from Hot Sox that I think I’ll be able to get to this week. Including some crazy diagonal stripes and argyles and some other odd bits. Another stack in here has samples of new M Styles we’ll start getting in shortly, the first of those will be like the Super Ms, but thicker and marled!!! I’m really excited about those, I’m going to start bringing in some new OTKs too…
I think we’re past our busiest time now as we approach the end of the holiday season.
Now to catch up, catch our breath and start getting ahead…

These are quite possibly the softest things you could slip your toes into
and certainly the softest, yummiest socks we have!
I give them ten toes for being absolutely comfy, thick, soft & stretchy,
no odd feel to their texture,
great fit range: the usual size 9-11, but here’s something neat about Hot Sox labeled socks~ they list a shoe size range which is 4-10.5! yes, they really are that stretchy, they go on and stay on without slipping about and my toes don’t feel at all cramped or gathered. If we could get a really long version of these I’d be in heaven! as it is they are an anklet that could pass for a bootie. They are perfect for bedtime, or for wearing around the house, I put on sandals to keep mine cleaner while I patter about and they feel super cushy in them.

If you’re getting a last minute gift or looking to treat yourself
I highly recommend these, at $8 they are a good value too.
