argyle is here!!!

We’ve got tights, leg warmers, anklets, otks, and more to come (niqkita’s being very sneaky about those)!
I tried a pair of the new Foot Traffic OTK Argyles in black.

When these came, I was a little worried as they looked so small, but I was happily surprised when they fit me just fine! However, I wouldn’t recommend these for anyone with an above-the-knee measurement of more than 16″ or a calf measurement of more than 15″. These get less opaque as they’re stretched, so keep that in mind if you’re of the larger legged. That said, these are great! I used to have a couple of pairs that I’d bought from a certain gothic retail store that shall remain nameless, and I wore them to pieces. Looks like I may be doing that to these as well. Thin enough to look great with mary janes or pumps, these are warm enough to keep any cool breezes away from your kneezes. :) They went just above my knees and I think they’ll stay there; they’ve got plenty of elastic.

The black that I modeled here are black, creamy white and heather grey diamonds with a maroon stripe running through and would look great with a skirt that features one or more of those colors.

The foot fit me just fine with room for a little stretch, too! Yay for argyle!

sexy stretchy two-tones!!!

eXtra Luscious and eXtra Leggy alike, rejoice!!! I’ve tried the two tone lycra fishnet pantyhose, and they’re AMAZING!!! Featuring the comfiest fishnet weave I’ve ever tried on, these suckers stretch and stretch and stretch! Best of all—NO icky “dent” at the waistline! The waistband is thin but has plenty of stretch, and as you can see, didn’t make that horrible mark, even at my 36″ low-waist! Perfect for those of use with a few extra inches, wherever they’re located, or any girl who loves low-rise!

These are beautiful fishnets that could easily be worn to brighten up a winter suit or punked/gothed up to compliment your fave black and red outfit! I can’t wait to try mine over a pair of black tights for a fun winter look.

Official eXtra Leggy sock model verdict: the two-tone lycra fishnet pantyhose are great!!!

It’s warmer today…

and so I’m featuring the Foot Traffic Printed Toe Sock in Clouds!

Second only to the Feelmax OTK Toesocks in my toesock dreams, these are rather flat when they first arrive, but fluff out nicely after one wash. I love them with boots, and they’re great for around-the-house, too. There’s no bulk between your toes and they’re quite breathable.

The pattern is repeated on front and back, causing the line that you can see down the sides, but it doesn’t bother me at all.

Overall, I think these are the best midcalf toesocks ever!

New tights, new lights and…

Fuchsia Shock
a new background, but it didn’t work well with the tights & lights so you’ll see it another day.
The tights: EG Smith cotton space dyed Fuchsia Shock!
bright pink and purple combined & swirled and delightfully fun to look at.
We also got some heather bark, heather taupe & burgundy…
I can’t seem to get the tone to show on the burgundy so I’ve yet to post an image but they are that typical deep red/brown that burgundy tends to be. For the bark & taupe I just did straight product shots (meaning they aren’t on anyone’s legs) I know there are some who hate when I do that, but I think it adds variety, and, well honestly, it saves time too, not as fun, I know, but I can only do so much ~:)
I still have plenty of other new stuff to show off in the coming days, but I’m going to let Shelleopard put up some of her reviews for the next couple of days while I keep working at taking and editing photos in between helping dozens of wonderful sock buyers. ~~Big happy toe hugs to you all!!!

A peek into our Sockroom

last year almost all the socks fit into this room…
boxes & boxes of soxes
Along the wall on the left from front to back are the anklets, striped tights, bootsocks & slouch socks, more EG Smith socks & otk’s, toesocks and knee highs.
The center section is new items and some overstock, to the right are all the over the knees, leg warmers & thigh highs.
soooo many stripes
right ahead there are the M Stripes and Super Ms, to their left are some M Stockings & longsocks. Just out of sight to the right is the shipping & packaging station.
where the labels are cut & tied
This is the table I usually sit the invoices & my various lists & notes on while I’m pulling orders, it’s also where Xilia folds & labels dozens of pairs of socks every week.
Beside it are M40s and an area where we keep the next-to-be-prepped socks, more longsocks back there and to the left are tights, gloves, arm warmers & garters.
We also have another room, more like a hallway with a door really, it is where I keep stuff like backstock of Ms, bootsocks & sweater socks.

Now you know where your socks come from ~:)

Belated Friday report…

Black & blue and toesocks too
I wore these all day Friday…
most times when I checked they’d fallen to around my ankles, I think the pants I had on were pushing them down. One of the many things I like about being my own boss is being able to stay in pajamas all day if I feel like it, especially in cooler weather when I can just throw on a big coat if I need to go out.
These striped knee highs are made by Feelmax, my current favorite toe sock brand. Speaking of which, the pink & pink over the knees are due back next week but I don’t think I can order the rainbow toes yet. Also due in about a week or so are the large tabi socks in every color we ran out of and white too. They’ll be sending them off to us Monday from Canada.
These are one of the best selling new items this week btw, also the angora arm warmers , the diamond knit otks from Thursday and both of the new argyles (shhh, more argyle to come, don’t ask, I’ll show you when I’m ready, okay, knee highs & anklets, but that is all I’m saying)
Next up, behind the scenes at Sock Dreams…

new stuff, different stuff…

Mmmm!
Finally!!!
I first saw them in June at the Seattle Trend Show. They arrived right before we launched the new site and I am just now catching up and getting added in.
I haven’t had a chance to give them a full day testing so I can’t be sure how well they stay up, but they sure are comfy! This color is called hemp, I’m not sure why, other than it looks like some raw hemp fabrics, it doesn’t contain any hemp and it certainly doesn’t feel like hemp. They have this great diamond knit pattern all the way down, over the feet and just to the toes. The cuff is a lace knit that is doubled over so you can see the sock under it through the cuff. I don’t know if we’ll be able to get more and I wish I’d ordered more when I had the chance, so for now they are $18….
get them while you can!

P.S.
be sure to check out the latest items page, I’ve added alot this week…

You can’t please all the people all the time.

I hate to gripe here, but I have to vent, maybe I’ll take this back down later, but right now, I want to share, you see, I’ve spent this entire day working on taking photos and catching up on adding in new items. It was a postal holiday so nothing could be sent out anyway, I thought it a good day to focus on adding as many pictures as possible. Then I get this, from a Librarian no less…

Hello -
I recently received a package of three of the M40s.
They looked great in the earlier photo you had - I see you’ve changed it to show that they are baggy. I think this should be mentioned in the write up, as I was quite disappointed with the way they do not stay up, even though they have 15 inches of elastic and my legs about 21 inches at the largest part of my thighs (and they do fit nicely all the way to the top of my legs, they just don’t stay there).
As a matter of fact, what you do say on your website:
“The top 15 inches are ribbed to keep them up forever, the legs are a flat knit for a slimmer appearance even if you have wide legs”, is completely misleading, since they don’t stay up at all, and therefore can’t possibly give a slimmer appearance.
Needless to say, I won’t be buying anything else from the website as I will be wondering if the pictures and information about the product are representative of what I’d be receiving.

You know, they aren’t for everyone, is there anything in life that is? let alone a style of socks??? Many people love these socks, myself being one, and while they may not stay up perfectly forever I’ve yet to have a pair fall down and my thighs are slimmer than hers. It saddens me that there are people in the world who live their lives this way, spreading that form of negativity. Of course, I will update the wording, I never mean to mislead anyone. Okay, rant over, I have some really cute socks to share in a bit, I just need to get them added to the site…

Three layers of warmth & comfort

Longsocks covered in M Stripes protected by lilac slouch socks
Yesterday I was wearing my original pair of Longsocks, still comfy & in great shape.
Then I wanted to put on my newest favorite M Stripes, but didn’t want to take off my longsocks, I also didn’t want to get my feet dirty so I put on my sample pair of lilac slouch socks over the stripes. The best part is that these all have nice roomy feet that aren’t bound in elastic so they never cramped my toes. It was so comfy I fell asleep in them. I got up this morning and put shorts on, my feet & legs have been warm & comfortable all day and I think they look great together.
The new M Stripes are all photographed and listed with the rest. The list is getting rather long and we’re still dreaming up new combinations we HAVE to have…
next up, red & white and pink & green!
The new slouch socks are currently only available in white, but I love these lilac ones so much I put in an order for them yesterday, they should be here in a week or so and since I already have pictures they’ll go right up on the site when they do…
Sooo coomfy & pretty too!
btw, these are going to replace our current slouch socks.
They are just a bit thinner and a couple inches longer, in all my testings I’ve found them to be an overall more comfortable sock. We’ll gradually get more colors in the coming months as space allows.

this very hand…

clad in the fingerless lambswool arm warmer (but you can’t have one, nanananana ;) be on the lookout for angora ones, though…oooooooh), is one of those that make sock garters! My garters are a little edgier than niqkita’s, and are now available in….*drumroll please* THREE colors!!! Here’s my quality control guy checkin’ out the new elastics:

That’s right, our lovely sock queen has seen fit to expand the spikey garter section to black with spikes, red with spikes, pink with spikes, and pink with…ooh….rhinestones!!! I’m showing you the pink ones today, since we already have the black and if you were around last holiday season, you should’ve seen the red ones in a wider elastic.

I’m so excited to see what you guys think, so be sure to comment up a storm! :D These will be in stock very soon, but until then, keep buying the black ones! :)
