Variations on a theme, day 2

These remind me of the booties my great-grandma used to crochet when I was little.
The ones above just cover the feet & have little pom-poms on top,
the ones below come up to the ankles…

They both have formed heels and woven toes (no toe seams!) and come in 4 colors.
They make excellent slippers and can be worn over other socks.
I found them to be quite comfy. They are made of acrylic but look like cotton while having great stretch and shape retention (they don’t stretch out of shape easily).
I think these should fit shoe size 5 on up to 10.
Then there are these…

not only are these thick, they are double layered!
there is a toe seam, it is where the two layers join at the toes, then they meet up again in the scalloped trim at the tops. The inside layer is black & very soft. On the outside are these big stripes with pretty little flowers adorning the sides. They only come in this one choice and should fit shoe size 5-10.5
And, yes, those are space dyed EG Smith tights under them in fuchsia shock.
Oh, I just added these tonight too, they are very much like the stripes & rosettes above, but less feminine, same double layering for warmth and comfort…

They call this Kashmir Shawl, it is a fitting name…
an intricate woven pattern adorns these wonderfully cozy socks.
I think any of these new socks would make very thoughtful gifts!
