styles your mother wouldn't be caught dead in

a love letter
Dearest Person of Sock

oh god, i love your site more than i love Lucky Charms.
I have loved socks, weird socks, since i was in the second grade, when i found out there were more than one type of sock. One christmas, all i asked for was socks. I got all sorts of sock and legwear. When i asked my mom how she knew what i would like almost to a perfect T she said, “I picked anything I wouldn’t be caught dead in.” And this brings me to why i love your site. It is EVERYTHING i have ever wanted… almost. It is all the thigh-high, ankle, legwarmer, over the knee, patterned socks i have liked and never got. I saved your site forever in my bookmarks and for this christmas i am hoping to get more than a few of your items
thank you!

Love hugs and legos

krista

I love letters like that, they make my day!
…This one was a perfect opportunity to use another one of my cemetery shots from a couple of years ago. Now that I think about it we should really do that again, when we’re caught up with the many things we’re doing now to make the site lovelier & better than ever…

congratulations on your creative website and good taste in socks. the love letter from Krista prompted me to write, because, being a fan of the Harry Potter books, her letter reminded me that professor Dumbledore also mentionned that “one can never have too many socks”, in the passage where he saw himself wearing socks in the mirror of Erised (HP & The Philosopher’s Stone). So, you see, he might have been a fan of your website too. I wish you much prosperity in this new year 2006. Serge
