We sold the last pair of these last night…

for some reason Ozone discontinued this color so we can’t get more.
I ordered more of the colors of “tipped off” wool that I could plus one really cool, fancy French OTK. They have several really nice high-end items I want to get, but between *trying* to watch my spending & not bring in more new items til we have the new site up & running I’ve had to drastically limit myself and just choose one at a time for now.

About the new site…
I finished adding in “accessories” tonight. Basically that’s everything except socks & tights. It will be sooo much fun putting all the socks in, we have each section started with five items and it’s going to take days to get the rest in, if I’m lucky. I cannot tell you enough how much you’re all going to love the new version, the more I see it & add to it the more I love it! Olivia will have to do her final touches after I get my bits done, at best we will be ready by the end of the first week of October. I’ll keep you posted over the next week, when I have time & energy left that is…

Perfect weather for cotton tights…

We just got a huge shipment of E.G. Smith cotton tights including some new colors: white, royal blue & Mercury rising…

I’m going to have to have a pair of those for myself.
Socklings come in Mercury rising also…

Oh, speaking if socklings, we’ve got them in bright red now too.

Yes, I added a few new items, but only new colors of existing items and I didn’t add any pictures, they’ll get to be in the new site though. We’ve been sooo busy the past two days I’ve barely been able to work on adding stuff, I really wanted to get alot done while Olivia is on vacation so she’d be impressed when she gets back, I did great the first few days and am now lagging. But busy is good, yes, busy is very good because it allows us to pay the bills and buy more socks for you to peruse and hopefully buy. I’m deliriously tired right now and if I keep typing I will make less & less sense.

A mystery for our Monday…

Why are green & white stripes all the rage right now?
Between the tights & the over the knees we sell more green & white stripes than almost anything else (except maybe the black M40s). Every single day people order them, sometimes more than one pair. Saturday I looked over at Bsti in shipping and said “We just got a $20 order, can you guess what it is?” he jokingly replied “green stripes, green stripes & more green stripes…” and he was right! we sell that many. The biggest reason I’ve heard is to complete a Strawberry Shortcake outfit, but they can’t all be dressing like Strawberry Shortcake can they? Anyone know any other great reasons to wear green & white stripes?

testing new stuff and…

This pair is an EG Smith style, a “man’s sock” if there ever was one, but I like them too. I’ll be ordering them to come in late October.
We’re sampling some other really great socks right now too…

All I will tell you about these are they are BIG & stretchy, really soft and we all love them!!! Besides that I am now able add items to the new site, this act alone is like night & day from the current version of the site. I’m really excited about it!!! Back to work with me…

Future Sock Dreams…

This morning I spent nearly two hours on the phone with Olivia learning how to add items & images into the new format. It’s even better than I thought! I think nearly everyone will absolutely love it~ logical, consistent, fast loading, beautifully done!
One of my favorite things about it is the search feature, this was one of the most important improvements for me and I’m thrilled with how it came out. You could, for example, run a search on pink velvet and set it to either only find products with both words (there are none btw) or find products that have either word giving you a list of everything with pink or velvet in the description.
I won’t actually be adding anything til Thursday/Friday when Olivia is all done fine tuning, then after I’m done adding she will test and fine tune some more. We plan to be launching it early October ~:)
Further ahead in our future is an idea I’ve been toying with to keep doggie legs warm on short haired breeds like our beloved dobe Lola. We’ve started testing them on her in short supervised sessions, she thought they were great toys but quickly got used to the idea. When she grows up she’s sure to enjoy having warmer legs on cold days. We plan make these available to everyone when we get it worked out with our supplier…

Bizy toes

This is it, Tuesday morning Olivia is going to get me set up so I can add all the items into the new site. This is easily going to take me a couple of weeks with all the hundreds of items we have and all the customers we help everyday, not to mention the naughty little puppy toes I share responsibility in entertaining…

I couldn’t get a translation for the site that picture is from, it doesn’t appear to be offensive in any way, it just has these nearly erotic pictures of someone covered from head to toe in what appears to be a body sock or stocking. I found this other site that actually sells body tights and related items called Bodyweaver.com, they appear to have alot of interesting items and links. I know this is bound to appeal to some of you though I don’t think I could personally stand to be covered completely like that, I’ve barely learned to like tights to my waist in recent years. But I thought it worth sharing here in the land of Sock Dreamers…

Our new baby

Now you know why I’ve been so busy this week ~:)
Little Lola is 7 weeks old, she’s a blue Doberman, very smart, very sweet, totally irresistible and just a bit of a handful. We’ve been taking turns working and watching her so we’re getting everything done, but my schedule is currently out of whack. That and this is the busiest sales week we’ve had since the holidays so non-business emails & photo editing are not my priorities right now.
You’re bound to see more of our little sock princess in the weeks, months & years to come. But for now, we need another nap…
