I wore these Tabi Socks for a 12-hour shift at work on Sunday, with a pair of skate shoes. The temperature at work is a chilly 65 degrees most of the time, and I was comfy the whole time! They kept me warm in the cool air, cool in the outdoor heat, and kept sweat wicked away from my feet the whole night!

I love that they keep your big toe separated, but don’t take as long to put on as toesocks (not that I don’t love those, too). I also love their versatility! They’re thin enough for mary janes and cushy enough for tennis shoes (as long as you’re not ACTUALLY playing tennis or anything), and the fit is fabulous!

I wear a 12 in Ladies’ shoes, 10 1/2 in Mens’, and the Large fit me just fine, and seem to be able to stretch quite a big bigger. Rave review for summer Tabis!

We shot these at my fav antique store here in Portland…
kinda quickly so no one would notice, so they came out a little fuzzy, but I absolutely love the way they look so I added some effects to bring out the mood even more.
The stockings are from Music Legs and are a style I wasn’t initially interested in because when I saw them all I could think of was how they would be a pain to put on with all those big diamonds.
When I realized that there really could be a demand for them and that they come in plenty of colors I decided to give them a shot.
We now have, ready to order, Lycra Diamond Thigh Highs
in black, red, purple, turquoise, lime green, fuscia (that really just looks like neon pink) and white. Here’s a more detailed shot…

They list the size range as 5′- 5′10″ 100-175 lbs, I’m in the middle of the height range and the low end of the weight range and I think they would work best on taller people & should easily fit people taller than 5′10″. They came all the way up to the tops of my legs and those diamonds are so adjustable that I just know they’d go alot further if you let them. The toe is completely enclosed so that isn’t a problem, but the heel isn’t so if you were going to do much walking in shoes wearing these I’d add a pair of booties to protect from blisters (I have a little one for not thinking of this sooner). I wore them with & without tights under and found that I prefered them with, they really stand out over a contrasting color, you won’t get blisters in shoes and there’s the added benefit of hiding any flaws like freckles, stubble or bruises. They don’t need garters, they’ll stay up no matter what you do, but they will need to be hand washed & hung to dry because they’d be a mess if they found their way into a machine.

They aren’t fencenets, they’re even cooler (or hotter….)
I need to get some more detailed shots of them since the ones we did yesterday are a tad fuzzy and I need to add them to the site and I have about a dozen other things to work on and…

All in all, you’re just another sock in the pile.

These, like the new cheetah print trouser socks below, are made by Foot Traffic and are excellent for summer wear! They provide nearly opaque leg coverage but are thin enough to help you deal with the heat outside. I love these with tennis shoes and mary janes, and as you can see, the toe seam is nice enough that you could tuck it under a bit and wear these with sandals or open-toed pumps as well!

By the way, for those of you who were wondering, these socks ARE knee-highs on those over 5′8″, will stretch to accomodate slightly larger calves, AND they fit larger feet, so they would make an excellent unisex sock, too!!!

Now, someone needs to make a faux-wood-finish sock!!!! :D
