Did they shrink up?
just a little…

Here they are after going through a hot water wash and a full run in the dryer. The main difference I noticed was in length. Before I had to scrunch or fold them down. After I wore them awhile I noticed that they stretched a little more again, maybe two inches.
The feet went on snugger, but again, stretched a bit with wear.
So if you want your M40s a bit smaller go ahead and wash & dry them using all the heat your machines can muster. But if you accidentally send them through the wash you might be able to stretch them back to where you want them.
I just got a sample pair of them today in neon yellow and a letter from the supplier telling me of more new yarn colors that we can choose from including a lighter pink, light purple and brown, all in cotton!

Hhmmm, different socks from which? yes, celery green is a pretty good description. I don’t know that they have more elastic, but they are a thicker cotton, as are the rose, slate blue & mallard green. I wasn’t sure it was noticeable enough to make a point of though…
