New EG Smith bobby socklings…

and that’s not even the best part…
I got a great deal on them so I’m selling this pink, space dyed banana, classic flax and a really bright yellow for
only $5 a pair!!! I might feature these for a few days this week because I want everyone to buy some so I hope you don’t get sick of seeing them ~;)
I kept this pink pair for myself because with a deal this good
I needed a new pair too.
Perfect for when you have to wear socks on a warm summer day, light breatheable cotton, easy on your wallet, while supplies last…

Socklings in summer

The socklings are a great summer sock…
they are thin, stretchy, 70% cotton & they come in many colors
my fav is the Mercury rising, but I don’t have a pair
my pair is violet, more of a red violet than the blue shades I prefer
pretty, light & comfy just the same!
I can pull these up past my calves…
but they don’t really stay there when I walk around…
one usually creeps down just a little quicker than the other.
They come in a shorter version known as a
bobby sockling
I’ve got some new
bobby socklings to show off tomorrow…

a year ago yesterday…
.JPG)
we were
in the middle of a series of reviews by a customer who became a good friend and did even more reviews for us. Then, sadly, E.G.’s hard drive died and she never gets to visit anymore ~:(
I finally figured out what was wrong with the image files from most of last year’s journal entries. I only seem to be able to access the most recent 300 posts though so now I’m waiting to hear back from
Blogger about the 9 posts I can’t access & fix…

No toe seams…
Alpal aerobic socks
one of two styles we have with this type of toe seam…
it is woven in rather than sewn so you can’t feel it from the inside. Most of us rarely if ever notice them in most socks anyway,
but some people have very sensitive toes for various reasons.
I recommend these or the
cloudtreks for those that are sensitive. These run a little small, the label says they are in a woman’s size 5-8 range and while they fit me fine at 8.5 I don’t think they’ll go much more…

The label says:
Hand wash seperately in luke warm water, drip dry
what happens if I throw them in the wash?

I was asked this recently and it’s a good question…
we’ve been throwing this pair in with the regular wash for the last nine months (you don’t see me wearing them that much, but Bsti loves them & wears them often). As you can see they’re developing holes on either side of the top skull where they meet with the pink stripes. All four top skulls look like this but all the skulls below them are fine and the pink stripes are fine everywhere except next to the skulls. The other thing that has happened is piling, mostly around the feet so it may be more shoe related than washer related (a nice tip I just received is to turn them inside out before washing socks to lessen piling:). I say machine wash at your own risk, you can always buy more.
We sell them for less than I’ve seen anywhere at $6 (I’ve seen them sold elsewhere for as much as $12 + shipping!!!). They are a nice thick soft acrylic/spandex blend that stays up even if you run in them & looks equally evil on grrrls & boys.

French zebra anklets are nearly extinct…

yes, sadly we are down to our last pair of the
Ozone zebra anklets.
The knee highs have been gone for months and Ozone doesn’t appear to bringing them back. It’s too bad because they are really well made with the pattern woven in instead of printed on like so many other wild stripes I see. We do still have plenty of the quite similar
Ozone leopard anklets though…

hot new socks on a hot Monday

I got up this morning and put on my purple
bootsocks.
By midday my toes were overheating so I took them off.
Later I tried on the new lavender
satin anklets & took pictures.
I’m looking forward to wearing them again as I love the color.
Sadly, it is one of those colors that is tough to photograph…
another great reason to get the awesome new Sony 8 pixel (!!!) I was looking at. Too bad they not only don’t sell it with a remote shutter release, but the only remote I’ve been able to find for that model isn’t even cordless! how can I take decent shots of my socked feet with a 5 foot cable attached??? ah, but to be able to get purples, reds & blues to show up better, I’m sooo tempted, if only there wasn’t the cable issue!

One year ago tomorrow…

super sexy
sheer roses, super close.
This week’s best sellers:
1. M stripes
(with black & blue in the lead)
2. Sock garters
(black with pink buttons sold the most)
3. Tabi socks
(always a strong seller)
4. EG Smith no foot boot socks
(usually a slow mover, they outsold all the other legwarmers this week)
5. M40s
(we sold our last black pair Friday, more due early this week)

just my fav old par of
pink 36 inch longsocks…

with a pair of the
sock garters I made with the buttons I got on Wednesday. I made the rest with pink thread & liked it better but I haven’t added this batch yet and might not til we sell the last couple of pairs of the current mother of pearl buttons (which only have two holes). I need to at least take better pictures of these before I add them, they’re really pretty when light hits them.
This evening I’m wearing the
rainbow toed over the knee toe socks again (I washed them last night)…
Happy weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!
