I’m off to Seattle to see this fall’s trendiest new styles.
while I’m away be sure to check out our newest tabi socks…

Dark blue in both medium & large sizes and three different pinks that don’t come in both sizes including these pretty rose pink ones that are only in large (my feet are 8.5 and fit into the large just fine). We also got a really pretty light pink and a very bright pink both are available only in the medium size (which also fit me fine so if you’re not sure which size to choose you may also be fine with either). We were supposed to get each shade in each size, but with apologies from the supplier it didn’t work out that way.

I had actually hoped to post several more pictures today than I did. You see, I leave tomorrow for a weekend away to attend a trade show and I’ve been very busy preparing for it and just generally being too hot to think straight. Hopefully I’ll get a little more done before I poop out tonight, but I thought the pic above was so cute I’d just go ahead and share it in the mean time.
I noticed the other day that our archives are not showing for the last week of May through this week, they’re in there, just not showing on the archive menu, I cannot figure out why and it’s sad because there were some nice postings in there. Hopefully it’ll correct at the end of this week, or I will figure out why they aren’t showing and be able to fix it. Last weekend I noticed that alot of images are missing from last years postings, I’ve been trying to fix them all but it’s quite time consuming. Boo for bad archives!!!
Okay, I’m going to at least try to get the new Tabi socks in and maybe even a post about them for this weekend…

Too hot for socks, almost…

it’s been in the 80s here today, much hotter than the mild 60s we’re used to. You might think it’s too hot for socks but these toe socks are surprisingly comfortable, they keep my toes cooler and sweat free because they are all seperate and surrounded by soft cotton. And a benefit of keeping them tucked into toe socks is that my feet are nice and clean inside (not to mention soft because I put lotion on before the socks:) I was also wearing the new water striped leggings before it got too hot…

The subject of “men’s socks” not only came up in the comments yesterday, I also got a toesocks specific inquiry on “men’s sizes”. Well, most of our socks will fit men (despite what marketing advertisers have been feeding us for ages, there is no big difference between the feet of males of our species and females other than that men “tend” to have bigger feet), but these Feelmax actually come in two sizes, well, not this actual color combination, it only comes in the medium range, but we have them in several other colors that will fit at least a M 12.

Thank you so much for your reply. You really do an awesome job with your site and your pictures. I do wish that some of the pictures (of your products) were a little bit lighter, sometimes they are almost too dark to see. I’m sure I will be buying some of your otk’s very soon. I’m sure you are probably aware by your increasing sales, but based on the web chatter you have a site that is very much appreciated by us sock enthusiasts. If there is a man in your life he is very lucky to have a woman that is so into socks.

Judging by the comments in the journal it sometimes seems as if not much of anyone reads it, but we know that’s not true, people just don’t comment much here and that’s okay because apparently they’re talking about us elsewhere and that’s good enough for me. June happens to be the slowest month we have all year. Year after year this proves true, though we are definitely up over last June ~:)
Okay, the dark images issue, I’ve long been bothered by this because I’ve seen my pictures on monitors that look darker and it is sad. But on my newer monitors & for many others I’ve discussed this with they are plenty light & look perfect. I am working on improving my indoor lighting bit by bit though, and who knows, maybe one of these days I’ll take a portrait photography class so that I really know what I’m doing here (I took a dark room class once but other than that I have no training at all, just a lifelong love of taking pictures). and finally…

I’ve been wanting to do this with my shorts for awhile…

I bought some plain cheap garter trolleys & sewed them onto cut offs, then attached some longsocks. My pink 36 inchers this time, the longsocks are a little thick for getting the clasps on easily, but it is doable. The M Stripes attached easier when I tried them. I want to play with this idea more, I like the idea of attaching my stockings directly to my shorts, or maybe a short skirt.

Kitty toes in the grass with socks

Kitty toes make me happy
so do Toe socks
Kitty toes + toe socks = double happiness ~:)
Feelmax are my fav’s for variety & fit
the All There are my second fav for superb fit
I did not like the fit of the fuzzies, my little toes came out too easily
same problem with the melanges, but I love their look & feel
I’ve heard the prints can be tight in the toes, they fit me fine
I liked the stripes better than the rainbows
but haven’t tried the dungaree or white
I don’t personally own any of the angoras, maybe next winter I will.
