An extra happy Friday!!!
the sock dreams just keep coming true...
not only are these here in all their hot pink & black striped glory…
I asked the supplier if she liked the test batch of wider socks.
This morning she wrote:

Yes, I like them alot. I am going to wear a pair of the short ones today to try them out. I think the short ones are a lot like the boot socks you have on your site. They come up to my knees if you pull them up and slouch down low if you like them that way. It is too hot here for me to try out the long ones now. I’ll let you try that!!! I sent them priority so you should get them by Monday I guess. Talk to you soon.

we also got the M stripes in black & grey.
I wore them over 40+ inch white longsocks
Here’s to looking forward to Monday!!!

Even more toe socks!!!
just like the pink & light pink over the knees, just shorter with narrower stripes
It was two months ago today that I introduced the over the knee version of these. At the time I was mostly interested in them for their length, but we were so impressed with their overall quality that I’ve been bringing in more and more of their midcalves (soon, knee highs too). One thing I really like about the midcalves is that they offer two sizes of many of the colors. They list them as small & large, but I found that confusing and would rather call their small mediums, the range is small/medium: women 5-10, men 4-9; Large: women 8-13. men 7-12. I’m about a 9 and both sizes fit me fine and it’s a good thing because some of the prettiest ones are only in the smaller size range including these pink & light pinks, green & light green and black & dark pink
(darker than the darker of the two pinks above)
they look something like this…
dreaming of the pink & black striped toe socks
New in both sizes are solid black & solid white.
We also recently added black & grey stripes in both sizes
(though the large is a darker grey).
If you love toe socks
…or have ever been curious to try them
these are a must!

Tuesday morning update…
if you visited last night when the journal was down or this morning while it was looking a little funky it was because of a PHP upgrade to the server. We knew about it in advance, but because PHP is still new to us and a little confusing we weren’t sure how much it would impact us. I went into a late night panic mode and tried switching things around in an effort to get something to show up besides that scary error 500 page. This morning it looks like we’ve got it all straightened out so I’ve switched everything back, well, almost everything. On the actual Journal page(which has an Iframe that displays the joutrnal entries) I couldn’t get anything to display centered properly so I had to make some changes, it look a little bleak right now, but at least it’s all centered and even more importantly, it’s working!

(except the comments, which are not working yet…)

Happy Monday!
buttons & bows, pink pink pink!
Something old, something new…
these are my old pair of grey 36 inchers
true to the greys they are a little on the shorter side of 36 inches
(they are also a darker grey than the current batch).
I recently got some pink buttons that I really like so I made up a bunch of the sock garters using them & added them to the sock garter page
all three colors of garters are available with these pink buttons.
Also, my newest pair of bloomer from Bloomers4U, I love them at least as much as I love my first pair!

Longtime sock fan Dan sent us this:
Comfy white toesocks

Hello Niqkita. I had a nice night last night. I slept in my green soccer t-shirt, my plaid blue white and green night pants, and my white knee high toe socks. I love wearing these socks in bed because I can move my toes around. I got up the next morning.

waking toes

I have my rib knit tank top on I got at Old Navy, my dark denim jeans on, and my black and white toe socks on.

black & white striped toesocks

I also want to show you and other sock fans out there. I took one of my socks off and my toenails are polished. I want to thank you for these socks.

Dear Fairy Sock Mothers,

I’ve ordered so many socks from you (stripy and otherwise) that my friend Andrew suggested I do a striped sock photo series on my foto-log (he is partial to stipes). And then I thought maybe you would like to see what your socks have been up to so I thought I would send you the link:

http://www.fotolog.net/anamorphosis/?pid=7800500

By the way, my package said that I owed 23 cents on the postage, but it was just sitting in my mail box waiting for me with no angry postman attached. Should I forward you 23 cents? I am not sure if they billed you. …that is quite odd, has this happened to anyone else? no need to send us the 23 cents though ~:)

Any way – I’m off to photo the new pair I just got in the mail today.

Best,
Kxxxx

p.s. – Did you know that your toe socks are particularly adept at inspiring lust?

yes, we certainly do know that about our stripes ~;)

I loved this one quote some left on her comments the most…
“Stripy socks are the new black”
…and I couldn’t be more glad!
especially with our awesome newest stripey connection.
…and many thanks for the wonderful homage!!!

Whatever happened to the 50 inch longsocks?
45 inch longsocks
a couple of months ago I said we had alot of 50 & 100 inch crazy long socks coming. Then I never brought it up again…
why? because they were quite a bit later than I was told they’d be, then they never actually showed up at all. What we got instead is alot of black, pink & white socks with the 40 inch labels that actually measure 45 inches from heel to top and over 50 from toe to top. I still don’t know why the 100 inch never showed up (we still have them in pink & red from last year). I wore a pair of these new white 45+ inch socks the last couple of days, they are acrylic rather than cotton this time around (check the comments for more about acrylic vs. cotton) they are still very comfy, in fact, I think they have more stretch to them than the cotton longsocks do, they reach all the way up my thighs and can easily be cuffed. I liked them best slouched down to just above my knees. These also have the nice ribbing around the arches that we all love, it helps keep the socks in place around your feet and has been known to provide a little massage for your feet while you walk.
If you’ve been waiting for the 50s I suggest getting these…
they’re nearly as long at a better price, $20, the same as the 40 inchers ~:)

Buttery Longsocks

Looks like Niqkita and I are both having a busy week! Tonight just a pic or two from me, of the M Stockings with a special “buttered popcorn” style of the Cyprus longsocks (these started out as a regular white pair).
butterysocksandmstockingsagain.jpg
Both excellent socks, the longsocks being my faves…the M Stockings really were a lot warmer than I expected them to be and stayed up nicely!

That’s all for now…later in the week I’ll be modeling some bobby socklings for summer as well as the pothole tights (’twas my request which brought them in, methinks)! yay!
