Cuban Heels, comparison review
WHOO, THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG ONE!!!
Cuban Heels ~ Recently Eliza reviewed the Cuban Heels in black and red. I got sent on a comparison journey with one pair of black and red Cubans, and two nude and black, by two different brands and in two different sizes!
On the Left, Leg Avenue Plus Size Cuban Heel Thigh High, made to fit (according to their label) 1X-2X. On the Right, Music Legs Lycra Thigh Hi Cuban “Hill” (love those packaging typos!), made to fit 5′-5′10″, 100-175 lbs. Let’s get ready to rumble, folks!
While I’m usually a huge fan of Music Legs, I must say that I DON’T like the nude tops of these Cubans…If you’re pale like I am, you may also want to go for the Leg Avenues, b/c the MLs were more of a tan color, while the LAs were more transparent. Both were strong for sheer stockings, and I only had a tiny scuff on the top of one from a brush with my computer desk when I was finished! If you’re planning on wearing sandals, go for the MLs; with their thin foot area, not as much black will show. However, I did like the neat little pattern on the LAs! As usual, the MLs were better quality, thicker and comfier on feet, and the backseam didn’t fray; the LAs, while having that yummy transparency, did have wiggly seams!

They both had grade-A toes, no problems there!
Again, note the color difference below:
The LAs also had a little more shimmer to them. I did wonder about how well they would fit a larger-legged lady, as they claim to, when they are so transparent! But, they had lots of stretch, and plenty of room at the tops to accomodate larger thighs. The wide band of more elasticized stocking shouldn’t make any ugly dents and should sit comfortably at about mid-thigh on a larger girl. As far as ML’s height goes, they should fit most of you at mid-thigh or higher, and those of us taller chickadees just a couple of inches below mid-thigh.
Well, take your pick! Big or small, we’ve got you covered! Well, at least most of your legs, anyway. :)

We’ve since discontinued the Music Legs version in this review for reasons I no longer remember, but we do have lots of other nice Cuban Heeled choices.
