Wool and Lace… ?
the long overdue wool long socks…

I don’t know what went wrong with the previous long wool socks,
the supplier kept saying two weeks; soon; two more weeks…
then they finally got them but they were different…
thinner but stretchier and more comfy ~:)
I wanted to dye a bunch then I suffered some dye batch trauma…
meaning I dyed several batches of cotton and was not happy so I wasn’t about to mess with wool which is even more time consuming with less reliable results, I think I was trying to hard but the bottom line is that dyeing items to sell may just be more trouble than it’s worth right now so I went ahead and put them up plain & natural and at a reduced price to boot, only $8 this time around. I liked the effect of layering them under the black lace thigh highs because it looked like I had very pale blemish/freckle free legs under all that lace.
Another layer I loved…

I have this pair of thin pink stripes because by some absolute weirdness they had several runs on arrival, some people like the look of runs, one supplier makes a style to look that way on purpose! I barely noticed any runs under the lace thigh highs but really do love the way the two looked together and will be wearing them again soon! I have more nice pix of them to share but am redoing the stripes page (again!!!) so that I can add in the wonderful new M stockings (they run small so don’t get excited unless your thighs are 20 inches or under, at least not yet…)
The lace thigh highs, they come up nice and high and stay really well, everyone should be happy with these AND I expect them too arrive in red & white by next week!

I like the wool sock pic with the measuring tape. It gives a better indication of fit. Great idea!
