Just how much stretch do the long leg warmers have?
.JPG)
When I first tried these I said they had alot of stretch that my larger legged friends would appreciate, but to be honest, I never put them to the test. This morning I got an email asking just how much stretch they had so it was time to get out my trusty old measuring tape (the same one I’ve been using since I was 15)…

as you may or may not know my thighs measure in at barely 19 inches so when I’m working alone and trying to determine the max width of a style I employ various items, in today’s example I used two deep bowls, the first was 24 inches and the long leg warmers slipped right over them, so I went for a larger bowl, this one is 27 inches and the leg warmers slipped on with such ease that I’d guess they could go at least another inch….

the really good news here is that my pair has been through the washer and dryer already so I don’t expect to see any shrinkage.
To keep them on my 19 inch thighs I use sock garters, but some days I just let ‘em slouch…

Time to warm my toes back up…

are those black and white swirly tights you’re wearing under leg warmers?

Sadly, no, they are just some old leggings.

With the temps/wind chill dropping to 3o’s+ below zero around here, you’d could sell out your whole shop. The talk on all radio stations is about the cold – this is even cold for us Canucks.
