Another great fitting thigh high from Music Legs! “Fancy Lace”
These have a great fit, comfortable, long and stretchy,
they easily stay up on their own.
I think they’d be really fun to wear over tights or stockings
or under some cute socks.
They were supposed to come in red & white also,
but only the black ones showed up with the order so I’ll have to try for the red & white again next time…

I also made the thigh highs page all nice & shiney like rest of the newer pages…

we just got them in the mid length, midcalf I assume, but they look so cute with their fuzzy cuff that I think they are more of an anklet.
I was actually going to discontinue them, partly because the ankle length (which is more of a bootie sock) barely stays on my 8.5 feet despite being labeled to fit 9-13 U (U for unisex, though I think I forgot to clarify that on the page) and partly because of their terrible tendency to pill up. Then sales totally took off & I got several positive letters about them so I decided on a compromise, replace the ankles with the mids and test a new pair for proper washing technique (I also put a warning on their page that failure to follow the washing instructions would result in piling). The label says to wash in cold on gentle, I went one step further and handwashed this pair, they came out perfect! They are laying on a towel by a heater vent and are nearly dry already.
I really do love the way they make my feet feel…
warm without sweat and all cushion-y comfy.
Oh, I almost forgot, I lowered the price of the knee highs too, now they are only $14 (down from $16, the mids are $12, the ankles $10).

i’d call this an almost true indigo…
if it weren’t for the grey tone, they
probably would be definitely indigo…
anywho, here’s what i’ve been wearing
since i got home with them around 8 this morning:
they’re thinner than the other longsocks, fall a little faster,
but are very comfy and such an interesting color…
i can’t yet decide whether i really
think they’re blue or what!?! :)

I had almost that same reaction when I first opened the boxes of those!
though in my mind they are not blue enough to qualify for indigo, they are denim-y, I’d even call them a heather, I really love them!!!

Some of my current fav’s..

my spiked garters, handmade by our very own Amazonian Goddess.
Totally comfortable for walking, sitting and working. The spikes give a little due to the elastic under them so I never really get poked (whih is exactly what insired me to take the shot above and talk about them some more). One night I wore them grocery shopping, the next morning I worked at the bookstore with them hidden under my kilt, I even do alot of sock work with them…
I just think they are too fun not to wear!
Another fav for these cold days are the EG Smith cotton tights. The new space dyed colors are due in any day now, I can hardly wait to see the forest stripes, they appeared to be purple & green, til they arrive I’ll keep enjoying my moonrock tights.
The smokey striped otk’s are giving me the green I’m longing for (we just got a big order of these in). All three together is perhaps my favorite combination right now, though being a Libra I don’t really have favorites, I’m far too indecisive ~;)
Remember the long wool socks?
I know some of you do because I get asked once in a while when they’ll be back, well, today the supplier shipped them…
next week we’ll have them!!!

I thought this would be a great letter to get some feedback on,
from anyone & everyone…
I personally spent many years in so. cal in my youth and find cold to be a relative thing, here in the pacific northwest I get used to temps in the 50s being on the warm side but when I lived down there I could be cold when it dipped below 70 and would have welcomed long socks even in summertime. Right now I’m longing for warmer weather to show these off…

more new stuff…

I like the idea of harlequin patterns but have not been overly impressed by most of what I find sock-wise (now that I have these my only complaint is that the colors go crazy in the pictures of I shrink the image too much). This pair went right over my knees so I added a pair of my newest black sock garters with green buttons for fun. These were requested by a regular & long time customer so I brought in a couple more of the patterned Foot Traffic knee highs while I was at it (or trouser socks as they are also known)…

I’ve wanted to bring in the stars for awhile
and these…

there are so many neat animal prints I never know where to begin, now we have both the leopard & crocodile, next I might get cheetah or snakeskin or zebra or tiger or…
in addition to updating the knee highs page & newest items page (check it out & make sure you’re current cuz more stuff’s coming around the end of the week) I also redid the sock garter page adding these pretties (among others)…

I think I was going to say more about the sock garters tonight
but feel I’ve said enough for now…

I get asked nearly every day…
when are you getting more colors of longsocks?!?
we just got 50 inch longsocks in light grey & deep dark bordeaux red…

the new 50 inchers don’t have the arch ribbing…
though in the future I’d like them too.

Since this is such a dark shade it’s hard to get it to show up just right, to make it show at all I have to lighten it up quite a bit. You’re sure to love it when you see it though.
There will be more 50 inchers, not sure just what or when right now…
we got more of the 36 inchers in grey,
and more of the thick & baggy 102s in grey too.

Take a walk in the clouds…

I was hesitant to bring these in but had a request for the monarch butterfly print and since we’d been wanting to have socks with clouds for awhile now I thought these would be good to get too. I was surprised when they arrived that they are nicer than I expected, I really like this pair! They are tube style, meaning they have no formed heel so they should fit most foot sizes and have a tiny bit of bag at the top of the foot like you see in the shot above (unless you’re on tiptoes or in heels).
Foot Traffic makes them, just like most of our other toesocks, they also make several other patterns I will bring in now that I know these are worth carrying.

The pattern goes all the way around the feet and toes matching up pretty well on the sides, the insides are completely white.

I have lots more new stuff to add over the weekend…
