Purple vs purple
purple leg warmers and purple bootsocks
Today I wore the purple bootsocks with the purple long leg warmers which I held up with two different sock garters. These leg warmers are such an intense purple, the kind that looks different under different lighting and nearly glows in some, I had listed it as indigo because to me it’s more than just purple (didn’t we just have the when is purple not purple discussion?) but today I got a letter from someone who wants to return a pair because they don’t look the least bit blueish to them and so do not really qualify as indigo, point made & taken, I changed the page and added some new shots. Then there are the purple bootsocks, which next to these I couldn’t make look purple for anything, well, not the right purple, it’s sort of a grapey purple but just looks reddish in comparison. We won’t even get into the new purple longsocks I got today, it’s a whole different purple entirely, I’ll show you tomorrow. These leg warmers, they are nice and long, nearly 30 inches, but they don’t stay up as well as I’d like (the never ending saga of what does and does not stay up), I used my sock garters and decided to compare the two black ones I currently offer, the 1 inch wide are thinner and stretchier, I don’t like them as well as the 3/4 inch which is thicker and just plain nicer looking (the button holes are nearly invisible), I think it stays up a bit better too.
As the end of the year approaches we are busier than ever, but still managing to get most orders out within 24 hours. The main reason orders don’t go out within the 24 hours is when we have a question and don’t hear back from the person we write to (I think spam filters are at least partially to blame for this). We ran out of 50 inch socks in pink today but got the 36 inch back in black and got a small batch of them in red too! The kilt socks are back in grey & tan, the cotton striped over the knees are now available in black & grey and orange & white (or ivory, actually I wanted to call it vanilla because they remind me of 50/50 bars) and, finally, the EG Smith original cotton tights arrived in bright red today…

Psssst….
for the past couple of months we’ve been selling off the 50 inch longsocks that should have been black as navy. Well, this morning I noticed that the last two boxes of them are in fact black enough to sell as black so I’ve relisted them as black, if you’ve been waiting to get some black 50 inchers you might want grab a pair now…
(We are due to get some fresh batches of them in various lengths between 36 & 50 inches in soon too, but why wait?)

Midnight Holdups & Happy Monday…
gonna find out who's been naughty & nice...
I didn’t actually wear these, but I do have a pair (mine are black) and they are alot of fun. They don’t really hold much up other than themselves, but they sure dress up a pair of thigh highs. The red is new, we’ve never had it in before, and just in time for the holidays too! I went a little red crazy earlier this month, if it came in red I tried to get it, hence the funny new marabou anklets I showed off on the 12th.
We also got red lace gauntlet gloves (no pix yet I’m afraid, they are a bright santa red too).
The new Orkney Angora batch came in, we now have the ankle length in black, knee highs in black, natural and blackberry and lots of the long socks & leg warmers in blackberry (more colors coming next month) as well as the wrist warmers in black, chocolate, lavender & yes, blackberry. It was such a rich shade last time and sold out so quickly I wanted to get everything in blackberry, then all the other colors suddenly sold out and I had nothing but blackberry coming and to top it all off the new dye batch is more dark purple than blackberry AND I found that I needed to raise the prices because my cost went up and I was barely charging enough to break even after shipping. oh, and the lavender, it is sooo much prettier than it looks in those shots, I have to try some different lighting and see if I can’t capture it’s essence better than I did last time..

Lazy winter Sundays…
snuggley!!!
Our softest sock?
the fuzzy socks could very well be them
they have that neat terry cloth texture inside and out
recently the red ones came in looking a bit duller, when I commented about it to Foot Traffic they replied “yes, but they’re even softer than before”! that means they are actively working to make these as soft as they can. People have been buying one of each color or several of a few colors in one order so I suspect there will be alot of warm toes for the holidays.
I like to put a fresh pair on at bedtime, then enjoy them in my slippers the next morning, they are even comfy enough to wear with shoes (they don’t slip down inside, at least mine haven’t). If you want something thicker and fuzzier I can also recommend the EG Smith boucle sock (lower on the same page), I love both styles and would happily lounge around in either of them endlessly…

How does Santa like these?
more pretty pink!!!
yes, another cute and sexy little anklet tonight…
Opaque pink nylon with white ruffles and bow
really great for wearing with heels, especially Mary Jane type strappy things that make the boys drool (and the girls too, they’re just less obvious about it~;) we also got the double lace anklets in a few new combinations including pinks & reds.
Disclaimers:
some people using macs have trouble with some features of this site
I’m 5′5″ with 30 inch legs…
if they are over my knees they may not go over yours.
Colors can be beyond tricky to represent properly on my monitor,
let alone yours.
I’m a phone-aphobe…
though I’m quite capable of using one I usually prefer not to…
this doesn’t mean I won’t call you…
but if we can resolve it online that is what I’ll try first

stairway to the socks…
argyle tights & arm warmers or are they leg warmers?
yes, every pair of sock you get from us has traveled this staircase to the sock stockrooms. I have fantasies of painting it lovely colors, or maybe just indigo, such things will surely wait til spring when windows & doors can be wide open for hours without me freezing my socks off.
I had to get better pictures of these tights, they are sooo cute! I think they layer fabulously, today I wore my cut off grey kilt socks with them (more of the grey kilt socks should arrive early next week). They turned out to be a challenge to show in a small image because of how tiny the pattern is. They come in the Queentex label which is also from the much loved Music Legs. Why are they much loved? their products are comfy, stretchy, well made and sexy, I love them because they are easy to work with and their sales rep Karen is a sweetie.
I also wore the newest cable knit leg warmers as arm warmers all day, they are my current fav to wear on my arms, I like the way the black & white are knit together (among other things, comfy, nice fit ect). I took a ton of pix of the newest items tonight, now to edit them…
here they are with the cut off kilt socks, I use the top halves for arm warmers

Snatched from my friends at Chapel Perilous
A Brief History of Socks
“No article of clothing has been more taken for granted than the humble sock, and yet, throughout history, language and customs it seems to have been an important part of everyday life. After all, warm dry feet have a lot to do with the overall quality of life as we know it.”

Today I’m wearing our new argyle tights. The tiny argyles are so cute and the Music Legs picture didn’t do them justice so we will soon be taking some of our own to show them off more properly.
Also, all the toesocks & red angora leg warmers came in today so all the orders on hold are now on their way to their new homes ~:)

shiney shoes & polka dot socks...
Things I love:
satin pants, warm coats, shiney shoes that fit & warm polka dot socks
Things I don’t love:
when my site editing program crashes over & over again in the middlle of the holiday rush when I am trying desprately to update the site, waiting for a big box of socks to come so we can send out the orders that are on hold til we restock the rainbow toesocks, fuzzy toesocks & red angora leg warmers, but at least that box is on its way…
because what I like least is running out of items that we can’t get more of for weeks if ever…

Subject: RE: sock order 6658
Hi there!
I’ve been home studying and working on final projects today and I’m so happy that my sock order arrived. I was hoping to wear them when I went to turn my projects, but I’m still working on them. I’ve been lounging around in my purple and pink skinny stripe socks
(niq’s note, sadly the skinny purple & pink stripes are long gone), which are my favorites, but these new socks are amazing!!
The kilt socks exceed my expectations, and I’ll be buying more. The are really long even on my huge (but still very alluring) legs. The feet are really cushy and the fit is really comfortable. They stretch all the way up to mid-thigh and fit very securely, more than any of my other socks. They stretched and fit around my 19 inch thighs and 16 inch calves. I recommend these for everyone. They would be great to wear under jeans or pajamas for extra winter warmth.
The red angoras are beautiful. The texture is amazing. They are fluffy and soft and warm. They red has lovely soft flecks of white, and it looks very festive and X-masy. I really can’t say enough about the beauty of the color and texture of the socks. They look very fashionable and very fancy. The socks remind me of a warm soft scarf, and in fact I’m wearing one as a scarf right now. I can’t wait to try them out on my legs. I love having pretty red scarves to keep my legs warm!!
The black sock garters exceed my expectations as well. I was hesitant to buy them because of the price, but they are worth every penny. The elastic is much stronger than my old garters, and the button holes are invisible. The pewter button are a wonderful luxury. These little buttons make me feel like a queen!
You certainly deserve my loyalty, and I’ve told all my friends about your site, so I hope I’m helping your business!!
I would like to share some home sock photos with you. I’m wearing purple stripes, and Zoe likes them too!
Thanks for being a sock dealing goddess!!!!
