Trouble ordering?
it’s a slow Saturday, which is not really unusual right before Thanksgiving, but there seem to be alot of order numbers missing which happens when people get all the way to the check out point but for some reason fail to successfully finalize the order. I tested it out and everything seems to be working fine so I just want to post a reminder, if you don’t get a confirmation email immediately after placing your order you either misentered your email address or your order did not complete and you need to write us and check on your order status…

New garters!!!
spiked garters!!!
These are handmade and hand sewn by one of our very own sock enthusiasts. She designed them for herself not thinking anyone else would be interested in spiked garters but I begged to differ so she sent me a pair, I loved them and asked for more. Now we have them in two variations, one with D rings & snaps and one with only snaps. Both have two settings so you can wear them thigh high or just above your knees. See the sock garter page for more info….
angora otks with legwarmers & buttoned garters
I put this outfit on for pictures and liked it so much I wore it all day. The red Angora otk’s are a bit pinker than I expected, but it’s a beautiful shade. I handwashed them and let them air dry, now they are comfy as can be! I put my pinky pink EG Smith leg warmers on over them and held it all up with a pair of sock garters and got a ton of compliments while I was at the bookstore this evening.
And, finally, me this morning, not quite awake, much like I am now…
this was before I realized how much better it looked with a black slip & black garters
Happy weekend!!!!!!!

last night I said I’d do the Angora otk’s again, but I didn’t, I hand washed them and they are hanging over a towel drying. I wore an uber comfy pair of toesocks most of the day, now I have on a mismatched pair of cotton striped otk’s. The grape and black stripes are most of the way up my thigh and have stayed up pretty nicely most of this evening, the purple & grey one is just above my knee, also staying nicely. I got some really cute flowered socks from EG Smith today, I can hardly wait to show them off, so you’ll probably be seeing them before I do more with the Angora otk’s. If this week’s sales are any indication I’m going to have trouble getting pictures done everyday for awhile, I’ll still try of course, we’re just so busy right now~:) Tomorrow I’ll post extra early, or at least I’ll try to…

These were based on a style in a picture someone sent me many months ago. Since then a couple more people have sent me that same image, yet today when I tried to find it I couldn’t, maybe I deleted it, so I can’t compare, but they are really nice! long thick ribbed angora socks, okay, actually they are only 20% Angora, they are also 25% wool & 20% silk, so they are nice & warm. I wore them with shorts today & my legs never got cold, I really missed them as soon as I took them off too. They didn’t really itch which surprised me since I wore them before I washed them (washing softens up most natural fibers). I used sock garters to make sure they stayed up, not I sure I needed to though. I’ll be test wearing them again tomorrow, I need to reshoot some pictures because alot of the ones I took today had a ray of light running down my legs that shouldn’t be there. More tomorrow…

Sweater socks with flannel lined jeans, sooo warm & comfy!!!
By now nearly everyone is familiar with the sweater socks.
We have them in several colors and want them in even more and would love a longer version. Unfortunately the company that made them went out of business this month, so they won’t be making any more at any length. Fortunately, I was able to buy alot of their remaining stock and hope to be able to buy the rest while I still have access. And, as you might recall, I love dyeing stuff, I dyed the pair I’m wearing lavender and love how they look, the color hasn’t faded a bit after many washings. Although I haven’t been able to get any dyeing done since before we started the big move I hope to be back at it in a week or so and will start offering even more colors of the sweater socks (and leg warmers) before long.
Tomorrow, another cozy new over the knee…

Sunday there will be a picture and a story, but for now, a few of my favorite comments from this week:
Special Instructions: i can’t stop buying your socks. are they drugged?! haha!
yes, I drug them every morning, or is that me? no, our socks are even safe for minors.
Who makes those gorgeous Mary Janes with the criss-cross straps??? If you stock ‘em, I’ll buy ‘em.
yes, this is a variation of the usuall question about the 3 strap mary janes (which was also asked again this week), ebay is my guess for both right now.
if you got a new layout im almost 100% sure your business will go up. your site gives me a head ache and is hard to navigate. i love your merchandise however.
that one was actually last week, and you know, I’ve been too busy filling orders and ordering more socks to answer it so I guess it’s not giving everyone headaches…
Wow! I actually squealed when I realized my package had arrived (black sweater socks, gray kilt socks, purple striped OTK cotton socks and a set of garters) only 48 hours after I ordered. Thank you for indulging my impatience, and for carrying such fabulous goods.

I wanted to note that all three styles fit over my large calves (16 inches)- the striped cotton are a little tight at the top, but not uncomfortable. I would recommend the kilt and sweater styles to anyone with larger legs who wants a long sock. And the garters are great, since I hate having to tug up my stockings while walking.

If you are getting a sudden rush of orders from Maryland, it’s a bunch of my friends. The link to your site was passed around, and we all made seperate orders, though next time I think we should cordinate our efforts. Hopefully I can get a picture of us all together wearing our socks.

Thank you for the great site and the wonderful service. Next time I’m ordering something pink!
I hope they do a group shot and let me post it here that would be fabulous!!!
and finally…
your website and business is SO awesome! my legwarmers came in the
mail today which was REALLY fast, and it’s a good thing, because we
just got our first snow! i am really excited and have to go get a
second job now so i can afford to buy one of everything from your
website. thanks !!

Another wonderful new E.G. Smith sock…

In their picture they made them grey to show the detail better, when they arrived they looked just like our current fuzzy socks for nearly twice the price so I was a bit disappointed. But E.G. Smith socks are always so nice that I quickly realized I was going to have to give them a try before making up my mind. They are quite a bit thicker than the other fuzzies, much like a light & fuzzy bootsock except shorter, ribbing and all (though you can hardly tell through all the fuzziness). They are wonderfully comfy and have plenty of stretch in them to keep them up and in place around your feet. They’re labeled “slipper socks” maybe because they are a great sock for around the house, they don’t have anything special or grippy on their bottoms though so they could be worn anytime, anywhere, by nearly anyone. Right now they are only available to us in black, I don’t know if that will change or if these are a one time deal, I guess we’ll just have to wait & see…

you can barely see the spikes, let alone the longsocks
Wednesday was mostly devoted to moving these fish and the five little ones you can’t see because they went into hiding the first night. Everyone was out and looked happy this morning, they really add a bright lively spot to our new and more spacious sock warehouse (don’t worry, all the socks are stored wrapped and covered, plus the fish are a safe distance from any actual product, we’ll sell no fishy socks!) of course the fish and my legs needed different lighting to show up so I’m showing one of each tonight. Before starting the fish move I put my favorite tights on, then I pulled up my new black 36 inch longsocks (more on them in a minute), then I put on these spiked garters made especially for me but soon to be available here for all. The spikes are positioned so you can still move around comfortably, you can even cross your legs, me, I gave them a real work out and wore them all the way through the fish move, they barely budged and never got in my way! When the warrior girl who crafted them sends us enough to share I’ll be posting it here first. Back to my socks, awhile back I mentioned the custom 40 inchers designed with no ribbing around the arch of the foot for a smoother appearance with open topped shoes where it would show, then I mentioned that the first of that batch ended up only being about the same length as our current 36 inchers, well these are those, we have them in white, black and pink. Since they are virtually the same except the ribbed arch we’re selling them side by side with the original 36 inchers, for the same price. Today I wore them without garters for awhile and found that they did indeed tend to slip into my shoe more than the ribbed ones do, but this wasn’t a problem with garters…
now the fish are too bright!
