Happy Halloween/Samhain!!!

yesterday, while shopping for funky used furniture for our new office I spied this fabulous red crinoline skirt hanging from the ceiling in one of the shops. I’ve never seen anything so fluffy in person before, I tried to resist, but it was just screaming to be fetishized! I can wear it with so many tights & thigh highs that even if I never leave the building in it we’ll have alot of fun looking at it and showing it off.
All orders have gone out smoothely this week despite our losing track of everything but our heads, though I’ll admit I’m behind in responding to emails right now. The site seems to be loading slowly the past couple of days, anyone else notice this? I’m surprised because we switched from DSL to cable internet this week and I expected no delays at all. (update to that, 11:11 am Saturday morning, the whole server went down for a bit this morning, even Sock Dreams was unavailable and she’s on a seperate server, all seems good now though:)
We have a couple more new items as of yesterday, I *hope* to start catching up over this weekend, I added back some out of stock items today, including the black over the knees with satin bows I’m wearing tonight, the rainbow leg warmers and the ivory cable over the knees, why, I’ve even updated the Newest Items page tonight, now if I could just find my notebooks…

Waving goodbye…

Today’s the day, all the big stuff goes to the new place and all orders after today will be filled and sent from there as well. I won’t be answering any emails after noon and any orders placed this afternoon will be filled and sent Thursday.
I was wearing double lace anklets on the day I took this in August 2002, you can almost see the reflection of our old home. Sadly, this hand painted window blew over in a wind storm earlier this year and lost half of the left payne, it still looks nice among the plants though.

I wonder if we’ll still qualify as a fetish site under the name Sock Dreams? I honestly think it’s a shame that fetish is prejudged in this way, but if you had to explain it to nearly everyone you came in contact with for the next 3+ years you’d likely be as tired of fighting it as I am. Sock Dreams has a seperate paypal account, hopefully they won’t put a hold on that one too, I only care for the sake of the people who prefer to buy their socks & such with paypal since we also have a real merchant account that takes most major credit cards & checks and provides better service at a better price. We’ll keep fetishizing socks, nonsexually of course, as long as there are sock dreams to fulfill…

Much moving was done today and the official Sock Dreams phone line went in.
During some of my downtime from moving I’m working on reorganizing this past 15 months worth of Socks of the Day/Sock Journal images so that I can find them in the folders for the various suppliers & styles instead of trying to remember just when I wore something I want a different image of. I should have done this sooner, just never did. Then recently I got myself a really nice usb storage device so I got all motivated to clean up my files. Today’s image was in the August 2002 folder with the one I originally posted August 20. I’ve been asked a few times about how the longsocks look with open toed shoes & higher heels, I knew I’d tried it for pictures once and today I found it:)
The tights came today!!! plus some other cool stuff that’s going to have to wait til this weekend when we’re through the big part of the move. Grey kilt socks & black fuzzy socks are back and available along with two new colors of fuzzies, black with brown and navy with white, we also got in some orange tweed otks a few days ago (pictures should be up this weekend). So much is coming and going right now, it’s very exciting, and a little scary, it’s a good thing we have alot more room for socks now!!!

I used two versions from this shoot for the last image of the original format for the Socks of the Day on March 20. I’m wearing my first pair of sock garters in these pictures and you can see that I cut off the extra length, I don’t do this anymore because I realized I liked the flexibility of wearing them on different parts of my legs and I can tuck the extra bit under if I don’t want it hanging free. With the permission of the original supplier I’ve started producing these myself and have been really happy with the results. I’ve even been able to make some in black though the supply of this special elastic in black has been sporadic at best & we are currently out. I hope to have a plentiful supply before the holiday season kicks in because they would make a terrific addition to the gift of warm toes this year.

The many joys of bootsocks!
The week I originally posted a variation of this shot I wore alot of bootsocks, bootsocks paired with longsocks, bootsocks paired with bootsocks and bootsocks paired with nothing but my feet. Right now we’re almost out of white, not sure if there will be more in with the EG Smith tights that should be coming this week or not. As soon as I find out I’ll place another big bootsock order and get in even more of their terrific colors…

it’s almost the same as the one currently on the main page and I’ve posted it here twice already which is why I’m offering a variation. The reason I wanted to post this yet again is that yesterday alone I got three emails asking about the shoes, specifically the one on the left with three straps (yes, a three theme!). One person was even nice enough to attach one of my images in case I wasn’t sure which pair they were asking about. I get asked this so often that it is included on the Frequently Asked Questions page (FAQs for short). Here’s what I know about them: I got mine second hand at a Buffalo Exchange here in Portland, the label inside reads RUSH HOUR express (if you google it be prepared for alot of traffic related results), Hot Topic used to sell them or something just like them (I learned this in a newsgroup thread I found where they were discussing this very topic). If anyone out there knows anything more about them please post it here in the comments so that all can benefit from this much needed knowledge (you don’t need to include an email address if you fear privacy infringement). The socks in this shot are, of course, our beloved 36 inch longsocks folded over concealing sock garters that help keep them perfectly in place.

I did this set January 22, I love these boots and the whole set turned out delicious thanks to how well they compliment the pink longsocks. They are soooo soft and comfy, really a treat for tired or chilly legs & toes. I wore them almost all day today (without the boots). The move is going well but won’t be completed for at least a week due to issues with putting DSL into the new location. I think today was one of our busiest days ever, lots of socks were sent off to their loving new homes so we didn’t get much else done. Warming the toes of the world must be among the most rewarding jobs in the universe!!!

This is one of the most beautiful cemetaries I’ve ever seen & it’s right here in Portland! Our new place has one I’ve never been to within walking distance, I can’t wait to check it out!!!
