Fiber Content: 50% angora, 50% lambswool. Angora wool is the lightest natural fiber known. The hollow fiber structure makes it ideal for thermal clothing. Angora fiber can only be produced by angora rabbits. (Angora goats produce mohair.) The angora wool fibers measure 10-13 microns, while the highest-quality lambswool is 18-micron - very fine and an excellent fiber to blend with the angora. It is comfortable to wear next to the skin, allowing the skin to breathe but absorbing moisture and maintaining a steady temperature at the skin surface. In other words, angora will keep you warm and comfortable! Warming & Therapeutic Effect: Angora wool improves blood circulation, giving natural benefit to the wearer. Research in Germany has demonstrated that angora wool is up to three times warmer than sheep's wool. This warmth-giving therapeutic effect is particularly beneficial for people with cold painful joints, sciatica, arthritis, muscle tension, kidney ailments, rheumatics, chilblains, and circulatory disorders.
Additional Info: Made by a family-run business in one of Orkney's northernmost isles. We are assured the rabbits are shorn safely and live happy, healthy lives free of hardship. Due to the hand dyed factor, color imperfections are possible.
