Most of the styles are a “one size fits most” as this is often the only option available to us from our suppliers...
Each style is listed with what the label says followed by our opinion, if we have one. Sock sizing is an odd thing, after all these years we still don’t have it fully figured out...
when a label says 9-11 they don’t mean shoe size. This range is intended to fit US women’s shoe sizes 4-11 or something close to that, but we all know that isn’t true. For men’s sizes subtract 2 (W 11 = M 9). Then there’s the range that covers your height & weight, but everybody is built differently so this is not much help either. For stretch around the top we have found it nearly impossible to get socks or sock-like stockings to fit over 23 inches, even when custom made. Cotton is easiest to stretch and can be further stretched by wetting the fabric and pulling the tops occasionally as they dry.
Kid sizes: this is a new area for us and there is limited information about how & who many of the smaller socks are meant to fit. Feel free to give us your feedback based on experience or working knowledge and we'll continue to upgrade growing section.
Smaller feet: We find that feet under women's size 7 find the average sock loose and often fit into kid sizes. We've had many of our privately labled DreaM socks made into smaller versions to help the smaller footed among us.
Men's size: a size larger than the standard women's range, these are usually in the Men's sock range 10 - 13 and should fit men's US shoe sizes 8-12 best.
Plus sized: this is generally a larger version of the industry standard "one size" and is, unless otherwise stated, 1X.
Just remember that most socks are pretty stretchy and common sense goes a long way. If you have questions about a specific style feel free to write & we’ll do our best to answer.
